I saw a post about how WOTC wanted to create a true summoner class that would allow the player to control and summon different creatures but had a hard time figuring out a good way to create it. I took that challenge and believe I did a good job at making a class people would enjoy.
This class allows you to control several monsters at once, change those monsters into unique gear or even fuse together in a unique way.
This is also a non-spell caster class which takes a completely different approach to any other summoner class that I have seen.

- to make it unique enough that you can't add or associate it with any preexisting class
- more simple to understand than the mystic class
- and as balanced as possible compared to the other base classes
