[FONT=&quot]DM looking for 5e players in south SF, Friday or Saturday evenings. Location would be in the Lake Merced/West Portal area, possibly at SFSU. The game would be weekly, ideally. I'm one of the potential players, but the DM isn't too computer savvy, so I'm posting for him.

DM says: As for game style I would tie in an epic level thread that touches on all the adventures the group will run through. The world would be high magic like Dragon lance. I don’t run too serious. The adventures would on occasion focus on the occult, dark, sinister. But I would work in a straight up casino heist at some point early on for fun. I make a point of not getting characters killed but I will let them get themselves killed if they just have to “stab a guy in a fist fight.” That is to say I don’t have real world consequences because no one plays games for real world problems. But I won’t let the party kill the blacksmith and 4 town guards because they were light on coin. The local lord will send 20 mounted people after the party for that kind of butchery.

If you're interested or have questions, let us know!

Possibly, depending on how our second session goes. We have five players, but one backed out and one flaked so we played our first session with three. I thought the party and play-styles were unbalanced, but we're going to give it another shot and see if we can settle in. If not, we'll be looking to add someone. Check in in a week?

Let me tell you a bit more about the game and you can decide if you're interested. We're playing late Saturday afternoons on the SF State campus down by Lake Merced, probably a couple times a month but not strictly biweekly.

The rules are straight 5e, but the setting is homebrew. The world has rebuilt after an apocalypse, but the underwater and underground civilizations weathered it better and have the upper hand. The campaign will be about fighting them and their allies back.

Of the three players (including me) two are kind of straightforward combat and loot guys (not including me), so we're looking for someone interested in real role-playing and a high intelligence magic using character would balance the party out well.

Does that sound of interest?
