I was just going through some files and found this old photo of the one shot D&D adventure I ran for my 10yr old son's birthday about 5 yrs ago (clarification: my son was 10 when we ran this adventure). I used a modified 4e version of against the giants for the map, but the adventure I ran had nothing to do with it (though there were some fire giants). My son was the only one who had any experience playing, but after a brief introduction we were off and running. The whole thing lasted 4-5 hrs if I remember and everyone seemed to have a good time. Anyway, I just felt like sharing on this snowy morning:
