Meta D&D Campaign

Reynard

Legend
For that sort of trope-skewering and lean-in, I'd recommend Diana Wynne Jones' "The Tough Guide to Fantasyland." It's sarcastic and insightful, while still evidencing a love of fantasy.

I'm not necessarily interested in a parody or "skewering." D&D tends to have plenty of "funny" on its own because of the nature of play and the people I game with. Settings specifically set up as jokes usually don't work IMO. Just because the PCs are characters transported into their favorite MMO does not necessarily mean it can't be serious or dramatic or at least earnest.
