DMs - premade or homemade modules?

What kind of modules do you use?

As much premade as I can. After college who has time to write all original stuff. Even running published material can take most of my freetime.

I've sworn off modules. I can never know them well enough to do them justice. (Or, more likely, I'm just too hard on myself.)

I do find modules to be a great source of inspiration, though.

I've also sworn off preparation. (Or rather, I do minimal preparation.) Not only do I not have a lot of time for preparation, but I'm not good at it anyway. I may not be great DM, but I don't think I'm any worse when winging it than when running a pre-prepared module.

Currently, I'm striving to let the players set their characters' own courses rather than trying to funnel them into a predetermined plot.

I'm mostly using modules at the moment, but completely wired into my homebrew campaign world - which means both major and minor changes to the purchased stuff.
