Converting the Buffy Drama Point System to D&D

I love the Drama Point system in the Buffy RPG, and I plan on pretty much implementing it wholesale, but I was ensure what the bonus to any one roll bit should add. In Buffy they add +10, but the rondom die involved in resolution is 1d10. Is +20 too much for a single Drama Point? What do you guys think?

+20 is exactly what I'd use. But it might be a problem to also add 20 to the damage roll.
