I am lookign for a good one that has the priest in mind. I don't like the one in Tome&blood, because the wizard level cut down on the rebuke ability, which in my opinion id the basic for the necromancer (besides creating undead that is)

You might want to check out the Bone Warlock. If you want it more cleric aligned (bone armor doesn't stack with normal armor, you could take out bone armor and buff up the HD and BAB.

I don't see the Bone Warlock as a Necromancer in any way. Sure he can animate skeletons a few times a day, but that doesn't make him a necromancer. The Pale Master is sorta like this in terms of the Bone Armor, and you can animate some powerful undead, not to mention the cool skeletal graft you get!

I Kaul Ravinous, Chairman of the Faerunian Necromantical Union found the statement saying that the "Bone Warlock" is a Necromancer highly offensive and would like a formal retraction.

Necromancers have to work hard this day in age, and we can't have average peasents ruining our bad name.
