Weird Book titles....

Okay, so every day at my job (in the wide, wacky wonderful world of book publishing) I come across 100's of different book titles. Many of these books are old and out of print but they all DO actually exist. Now, when I see them, I don't see them in "context". I see them as you see them here - just codes and a title.

These are some of the most odd, strange and otherwise amusing titles I have come across. After a long stressful day at work, may you find these as mildly entertaining as I did...

I give you...Weird, yet REAL Book Titles...

(I apologize if any of you are the authors of these books. I am only going by the unusual titles. For all I know, these could be great :) )

Legend
Actually, I believe Death of a Dentist is a murder mystery by M. C. Beaton, one of a whole series of mysteries featuring Scottish constable Hamish Macbeth. My wife really enjoys them: Death of a Nag, Death of a Snob, Death of a Gossip, Death of a Dustman, Death of a Hussy, and so on.

Check out my sig

As you can see below, I like weird titles too. I have a subscription to Locus magazine, so I circle whatever catches my eye for later use. Actually, I have to update my sig, so I've been looking extra hard. Hope to have a nice collection for use soon. :)

Weird titles, and weird account names are the highlights of my work day. :)

1557820171 THE TALE OF JEMIMA PUDDLE-DUCK

I just remembered, isn't this a Beatrix Potter book?

Could be, I don't see authors or context in my lists. Just numbers and titles. And some of them make me wonder.

Yes, Jemima Puddle-Duck is a Beatrix Potter book.

The "Mr. Ed" book is from a 1960's American sit-com about a talking horse (no, I'm not making that up). The theme song went something like this:

A horse is a horse, of course, of course
And no one can talk to a horse, of course
That is, of course, unless the horse
is the famous Mr. Ed!

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse
He's always on a steady course
Talk to Mr. Ed

People yakety-yak a streak
and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak
unless he has something to say

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this. I am Mister Ed.
