Here is what I want to do.

Our group recently acquired a suit of mithril chainmail. It is medium sized, and thus weighs 20lbs.

I want to have it remade into a medium chain shirt, and a small chain shirt. The total weight would be 12.5 + 6.25 = 18.75 lbs.

Would you allow this, how difficult do you think it should be, and could a craftsman (armor) do this with limited tools, or would he need a full armory?

Med chain shirt, Craft DC of 14 (10 + AC), as if repairing it, then a second DC of 20 for masterwork quality. 1/5th cost to make.

For the small chain shirt, I'd say same as above, but at normal crafting cost.

Hope he dosn't fail either by 5 or more.
