From the scoop for the new Dragon:

The Way of the Fist, by Brent Phillips-Watts. Three unarmed, five-level prestige classes: the Primal Rager, Fierce Grappler and Brawler.

Maybe this can give the monk a more European flavor.

Anybody else looking forward to these?

Most of them are in fact not meant for monks - at least, I assume that's why a couple of them have abilities that increase unarmed damage (to 1d4 and later to 1d6), but don't explicitly add to monk's increased unarmed damage.

They are a great way to give barbarians and fighters a reason to fight unarmed, though.

Aren't generalaly European monks against all violence and spent most their time in the monastry dedicated to god?

I'm pretty sure he meant make an unarmed fighter with a european flavor, not make a european monk.

So, more detail on these prestige classes, please. I need to create a were-shark tavern bouncer for an upcoming Freeport campaign I'm designing and I want to know how fitting this new material is....
