"Figured with him going right to the wire, the rest of his friends tossed down their "swords" when it was clear they were beaten. Anyway, back to your question. It was a thrill to compete, our team gave it 110% out there. The whole thing was almost unreal, the organizers really outdid themselves on this, I didn't even know the crowds were there. All the teams put up a good fight, we really just wanted it more out there, you know? We just never gave up even though it seemed that the Orien's had all the advantages" Vok replies.

Now I know what all those athletes are like in a post-game interview...Vok's not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Ryk and Spring arrive in barbaric finery. Ryk's hair is tightly braided, with scented oil rubbed in. His leather battle harness is clean and buffed till it shines, and his face is painted with hunter's vertical stripes. He wears wide armbands of beaten copper that match the collar around Spring's neck.

Although he would not admit it, it's plain he enjoys the attention, the role of exotic feral outsider. Still, he moves with some stiffness, favoring a sore ankle; anyone with some insight can tell the race took a lot out of him.

Bellegon glides silently through the throng, but not staying in one place too long. He finally positions himself so he can listen to the interview and mostly not be bothered.

He tries to be open enough to various fans as he's aware of social graces and his exotic good looks.

He's gracious and intimidating at the same time and he soon selects two females as his favorites and plays for a bit before deciding with which to go (if he has to choose at all).

OOC: I don't suppose we'll have time to say "and the next morning..." as there will be some interruption for sure.

Polished to a high gleam, and looking his best, Crush soon attracts a captivated audience as he tells of the group's quick-thinking and daring tactics that gave them that gave them that crucial edge over their opponents. The large warforged's sweeping pantomime gestures seem to hold the audience's attention as much, or perhaps more so than his story-telling, but its clear that Crush relish's the opportunity to exercise his oratorical skills.

Rikka arrived dressed simply, but with obvious care- like an initiate prepared for some form of ceremony. This 'party' was nothing like what she had expected, and it was quite obvious that she was ill-at-ease in the midst of such a gathering. She spoke little, and only when directly addressed, and kept a wary eye on those who had been foes of a sort mere hours before. After a while, though, the situation began to wear on her nerves.

Soon enough, she shifted into her panther form and found a perch off to the side of the room, where she could watch- but few would be tempted to bother her...

The group mingles or discusses with reporters for a while before staff in formal Aereni funereal garb leads the gathered to their tables. The party's is near the front, being the champions, though the front stage and podium is reserved for the organizers and their guests. Each table has their own racers, though Orien's is notably absent.

Lord ir'Haran stands at the podium on stage. His introduction speech is perfunctory and not very interesting, most of the attendees quickly tuning it out. However, he soon gets back to the race, which everyone finds much more interesting.

Ah, yes, the Race. We already know the winners. The Five Winds! He is not as enthusiastic as he might be, but most of the crowd makes up for it with loud cheers. We have obtained training by the finest masters for each to help them hone their skills in honor of their victory.
- To Master Tavishny, Gorim d'Deneith has graciously agreed to demonstrate some of the quick hitting techniques of the Sentinel Marshals.
- To Mistress Quickpounce, Vimrak Silvermane, champion of the Folly's Hrazhak League, will demonstrate some of his famous rapidity.
- To our esteemed warforged, Adamant of the Red Legion will provide instruction on the stances that have made him immovable in battle.
- To Master Vaerhirmana, the chapter of the Radiant Order of Her Shining Sword has agreed to ordain you in some secrets of Dol Arrah's knights.
- And, finally, Master Darksun, it appears your organizer, the one known as Taat, has some special instruction for you as well.
We hope you all use your gifts well!
[sblock=Treasure Awards]You are all being given Grandmaster Training (save Vok, who is getting a Divine Boon). Almost all are equivalent to items, but take up no slots and cannot be sold. They fade after 5 levels:
- Ryk: "Sentinel Marshal's Hunt Mastery" gives the same benefit as Quickhit Bracers (lvl 5).
- Rikka: "Mastery of the Shifter's Game" gives the same benefit as Boots of Rapid Motion (lvl 5)
- Crush: "Adamants Immovable Stance" gives the same benefit as Spiked Soles (lvl 5)
- Bellegon: "Powers of the Twice-Fold Master" gives the same benefit as Gloves of Eldritch Admixture (lvl 8)
- Vok: "Dol Arrah's Radiance" gives the same benefit as Pelor's Sun Blessing (lvl 8).
You gain the benefits of the boon at the end of this adventure.[/sblock]When the old man finishes, he invites the group up to give any words they would like.

OOC: Cannot find Twice-Fold Master, but I found the gloves. Question: does extra damage from gloves power applies to all affected targets for area powers (cursebite!) or just one target specifically? Let's say I spend 2 charges for 2d6 extra damage on cursebite. Do I choose who to affect or everyone in the burst is affected?

Looking at his companions and waiting for the elf to make a move to stand, drow hesitates. He takes a deep breath and stands up.

"We thank you for this chance to prove our selves in the eyes of your great city. Consider. We're five people from different backgrounds, different races, cultures, even continents. Yet we were able to defeat more uniformly formed groups. The change, adaptation to ever-changing circumstances is what makes us stronger.

In metropolitan Sharn, we, with all our differences, we are accepted. So, here is to change, to acceptance. May Sharn live long and prosper!"
he raises his glass toward the table with organizers and nobility and then turns toward the rest of the attendees

"Cheers for the organizers for the great show!"

OOC: sorry if it sounds a bit disjointed, I have trouble translating suitably grand speech into english (it doesn't sound quite as good if I translate directly)
