5 out of 5 rating for My Little Pony: Tails of Equestria: The Storytelling Game

So, when Equestria came out, I sifted through the book and was thoroughly impressed. I was not remotely expecting the quality of game design. I don't know why it took this long for me to come across an RPG manual that includes pages with random numbers spread on them for using instead of dice. That alone was enough to want to own the book as a curiosity. But with rules that seemed innovative and a solid starter mission, I was happy to run if for a few friends who knew the lore better than myself. It was extremely easy to pick up and go, and everybody had a great time. Replayed, with one of those friends' daughter, I feel like this was a perfect fit. All that said, the book does assume some knowledge of MLP lore regarding the setting, which makes running the game for people who know the setting tricky if your not the kind of GM who encourages corrections from the players.
