Cadwych is the elderly owner of
Cadwych's Curios in
Hengistbury Village, and is known in town as an exacting and serious man. Propriety, honesty, and discretion are his watchwords.
He is known for giving terse, unsolicited (and usually repetitive) advice:
- "Spend a penny to earn a crown."
- "A minute's preparation saves an hour's work."
- "An unsure hand is a losing hand."
- "Off by an inch is off by a mile."
Cadwych moved to Hengistbury as a young man with
Marrus the Sage. It is widely rumored that they were adventurers who traveled together. Shortly after settling in Hengistbury, however, they had a bitter falling out. The two have neither seen nor spoken to each other in several decades. Nevertheless, Cadwych will not buy any magic item that does not have a certificate of authenticity from his erstwhile companion.
