Is there a random encounter generator with SRD based stat blocks?

Id like to be able to generate encounters that in turn produce neatly formatted stat blocks that follow the SRD/OGL rules. Im okay with a commercial product - it doesn't have to be free - just needs to work

Assuming you are talking about 3.5e. PCGen does in the GMGen portion. I haven't used it since I almost never DM, but I haven't seen any negative posts on it in the mailing lists. I do know that it can't create a mixed group, like say gnolls and goblins's, though.

You would need to write your own scripts to handle the kind of encounter tables you desire, but NPC Designer also has the ability to run encounter table and present the output in stat block format like you would see in Dungeon magazine or any other professional product.
