HeroForge Character Management System Now Live

Well after all the hard work we have put into the HeroForge Character Management System for 4th Edition, we are proud to announce that v1.0.1 is now live and ready for download at www.heroforgesoftware.com.

Sorry for the wait, but we feel that it was well worth it.

So how much is the license and will that include regularly updated matterial?

A quote from Rob, sent to the Heroforge mailing list:

"There are 3 subscription options. $35 a year, $25 for 6 months, or $15 for 3 months."

Not sure about updates, though I'd assume that is what the subscription implies.

I was poking around on the website, and couldn't find a features page. So, why is HeroForge worth a subscription? What does it do for me?

The subscription gives you all the updates (min of 6 a year). Updates are more than just bug fixes. Updates also keep the app up to date with the WotC mechanics for released material. Mind you we will always be a little behind the D&DI Character Builder when it comes to the available mechanics but that is because they have first crack at their material. And we have to make the app work with it after it is released. Much like Hero Lab did, we provide a downloader so that D&DI subscribers can access this material from HeroForge.

But the best part of The HeroForge Character Management System is its Customization power.
