NPC Generators

I love using the NPC Generator found here at the E-Tools game box (created by Jamis Buck, I think). One drawback of the generator is that no presitge class levels can be created. Anybody know of a generator that can account for prestige classes. Thanks.

Off to the correct forum!

And welcome to the boards. My personal favorite is the Excel spreadsheet Heroforge.

This thing is amazing -- it accounts for a ton of prestige classes, and produces great character sheets.

Two other generators that take into account PrCs are PCGen and eTools. PCGen is an open source product that is written in java, so its cross-platform and comes with several OGC sources. eTools is being developed, under license from WotC, by Code Monkey Publishing. This is a Windows only program, and it comes with the 3.0 PHB, DMG and MM.

CMP also has a license with WotC to sell datasets of WotC products.

If you're looking for Modern characters (both of the above handle Modern as well, though eTools is as of this month), another generator is the Modern Character Generator by RPG Objects. This currently is free. At some point, it will only become available if you purchase their Modern Player's Handbook (which isn't out yet).
