Why can't you just use the 'Repair Damage' series of spells from Complete Arcane?

because a stone golem is immune to magic would be the biggest argument there.... hmmm.... yet these spells unlike the psionic powers don't actually state this will not work on a golem immune to psionics or magic.... this could work.... yess yess..... muahahahahahahaha *cough cough stutter cough* errr.. yea... seems like these spells would work methinks..

Yes, especially since the immunity specifically states:

Immunity to Magic (Ex)
A stone golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance.

Those spells don't allow spell resistance.

Yea.. I never made specific note to what version of game I was hoping for but 3.5 would be my preferred choice

Yes, 3.5 is what they're talking about.

And the Repair X Wounds spells don't apply SR in 3.5? Because the original 3.0 version of the spells does allow Spell Resistance, as listed in Tome & Blood. And 3.5 golems are immune to effects that allow SR. But, I don't have Complete Arcane or Spell Compendium, so I can't check the 3.5 version of the spells myself.

My own PbP campaign will be lower-mid-level probably, and I haven't started it yet because I've been too busy in the past month or two since I posted my request for a not-core-restricted game.

By this book here a golem would not be immune to this spell if it has spell immunity... yay.. go me LOL

hehe the cabal under construction definitely needs some metal-wrapped meat-shields up front. I think a full DR crusader from ToB could be very interesting.

I suppose this thread is asking for two different games, some people may want 4, and others 3.5, I'm a 4e person.

I prefer the 3.x myself as well but 4e is not bad actually.. I just have very little experience with it. and no experience at higher levels in 4e...

Wow! I may have bitten off more than I can comfortably chew here, I guess. But, what the heck, let's see how it shapes up, shall we? So that makes a total of seven interested players so far. Sorry for hijacking your thread, Rathan, hope you don't mind, hehe. Looks like the party will be melee-poor, so, Jemal, you might want to take that into account when deciding about a pc. (Hint, hint!) I have no problem with any of the material mentioned so far, but I don't really know what some of it does even though I have all of the books mentioned. And I still haven't chosen a module to use, either. Why don't the seven of you (Jemal, Rathan, renau1g, kinem, CaBaNa, Rhun, and Theroc) finish working out who's going to play what, exactly, and maybe, with a little more luck, I'll figure out where I hid the rest of my brain, pick out a module to use, and we can then go from there? Sound like a plan?

Actually, seven might be a bit much, though. Rathan is IN, since it was his idea, and Theroc was the last to offer, but I hate to turn anyone away, especially since I'm a "hijacker" here. Somebody HELP me! I don't need to be running anther game! (Maybe I'll survive?)

And anyone who can answer Rathan's 'golem question' is requested to do so post haste!

And BTW, kinem, I know that you are just looking to take some revenge against me for Bevin! hehehe

I have a question about ToB Jemal. Am I the only one that thinks that manuevers are like spells in that you can prepare each one more than once? Or like a list of known psionics, where the player can choose how many times to execute any of them, within the total number of manuevers that can be prepared at any given time? (but has to prepare them ahead of time)
