3.5 would be wonderful Leif and I realize that weeding some out is going to have to be nessiary... my suggestion to you is go first come first serve in that you take those who posted interest first... it's only fair I think.... and It would be an honor if you wanted to start another thread once you have found that precious gem that is the rest of your brain and pick a module you want to run and link it here to this one when you are ready.... I do want to toss a heartfelt thank you for offering to run a game for us addicts as well.. it was a real shot in the dark and wasn't expecting to get a reply... you are a good man and honestly... don't overexert yourself much with this one methinks.. it looks like you got a good group that aren't the HUGE power-gaming munchkin types really.. I think party creation will go smoothly..

Great. 3.5 is really the only choice for me to do this, because my own 4e game will be using all the high level modules that currently exist. (Eventually, that is.. the party is only first level now.)
For 'weeding,' um, gosh do I have to decide? Rathan and Jemal are given, my 'buddies' who have posted to this thread are renau1g, Rhun, and kinem. I guess CaBaNa and Theroc can arm wrestle for a spot, which will give us six, which is a large party, but fairly manageable, I guess.
Thanks for your kind words, but don't be too generous with the praise until you actually see me DM! And, "precious gem?" Hehehe, there you go again, dude. My brain is currently a lump of coal. Let's hope that the pressure of this game can compress it into a diamond!
And I already have a name for the game: SHANGHAIED! (As in: "I've been Shanghaied and forced to DM!")
BTW, EnWorld experience points are an acceptable bribe... j/k

I will give up my spot without a fuss, enjoy guys!
I have a question about ToB Jemal. Am I the only one that thinks that manuevers are like spells in that you can prepare each one more than once? Or like a list of known psionics, where the player can choose how many times to execute any of them, within the total number of manuevers that can be prepared at any given time? (but has to prepare them ahead of time)
Maneuvers are not prepared like spells. You simply choose X number of maneuvers you know to become readied for use; you cannot choose any of them more than once at a time. You can change your set of readied maneuvers with 5 minutes of meditation or thereabouts. Each maneuver is expended after use, until you recover the maneuver with an appropriate action (as noted in each martial adept's description, otherwise just as noted in the Blade Magic chapter, through 5 minutes of meditation).

is there room for another meat shield? I might have an idea or two that would need the comp warrior, phb 2 and or comp adventurer (of course 3.5, like I have to tell Leif.) or we could do it PFRPG!
Vertexx - Aye, I asked my roomates (Who are more knowledgable than I on this subject), and got the same response as what Arkhandus just posted.
Scott - As much as I like playing with you (eew that sounded dirty), I think mr gnome has allready asked one of the seven who'd applied to leave b/c the game was too full. Feel free to pester him though.
But if we had you, me, and renau1g, this would really be starting to look like one of our usual games! And, as it now stands, I feel bad enough for taking over this game!
And, like I just told you in one of our other threads, you can definitely be an alternate for this game.
FYI: ToB is the first book mentioned so far that I do NOT have, so I'm very leery about allowing stuff from it.
Bummer, I really wanted to try out a Jade Phoenix Mage...and I think I could make that work with a level 12 PC.

Or by picking up the Adaptive Style feat, which I believe allows them to be recovered as a full-round action.

Yep, ToB is definitely OUT. Sheeesh, it looks to me like you guys are speaking swahili or something. Don't have time or inclination to learn a system that different. I think I've already done my part by agreeing to DM here.
Asking for concessions like ToB is just being downright greedy. Of course, I don't really know why that should surprise me about Rhun...
I will give up my spot without a fuss, enjoy guys!
*snif* Alas, CaBaNa, we hardly knew ye! You're a trooper, for sure, man. You want to share the 1st Alternate spot with Scott DeWar? You were really here first, but I already messed up and told him he could be first alternate. We'll say you're Alt 1.0, and he's Alt 1.01. How will that be?
Sure, man, Complete Arcane, Complete Mage are both pretty much always ok with me, with the sole exception of the Precocious Apprentice feat, and since we're starting at 12th level, even THAT would be ok for this game! (Since all it would still do at this point is give you 1 extra 2nd level spell/day, which, to me, doesn't really seem like much to get in exchange for burning a feat!)

I just find the TOB system to be extremely easy, and I like the thought that high level warrior can complete with high level casters, which doesn't work so well under the core rules.
Since Complete Arcane and Complete Mage are good, I'll just finish putting together my Wizard/Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil concept...12th level should work nicely.

Oh, and Leif...did you finish going through your adventures? What did you choose, if you don't mind me being extremly nosey?
