The Plane Below: Secrets of the Elemental Chaos is a 4e D&D product describing some of the different planes in the 4e Cosmology. The book is a typical hard bound book that Wizards of the Coast... [Read More]
First I would like to say a few things about this product. One I got the PDF free for purposes of this review. Second I will honestly say I had no intention of buying this product at first. ... [Read More]
Ok this is my very first adventure review. To be totally honest I am a bit unsure how to review a adventure with out spoiling to much, while still giving you enough information to purchase it if you... [Read More]
The fantasy role-playing game Dragon Warriors has a healthy following and the Lands of Legend have been around for many years; as such there are a lot of stories to tell from around this vast... [Read More]
Hmm, i always thought that yonder was for something far away. In Sui a run, an Irish folk song, she sings about "yonder hill" as if it's something distant.
Also, in Baldur's Gate II, one of the dwarves says about an elf "yon lass here" signifiying that she is close by, as they are in the same party.
Granted i'm no expert so... This is just my knowledge.
Well, if you think about it, both "this" and "that" are fairly vague in any case.
For yon, I think it more closely matches "that" in that can be used for close-up objects, in which case it merely signifies that the object is not part of the conversation.
interchangable I believe HM ( mostly from extensive reading of mallory, poetry from the romantic period etc.) though yonder always seems to denote physical distance not just distance from inclusion in conversation like yon'
i.e.: Yon' lass journeyed from yonder hill crost forest betwixt us
That girl journeyed from the hil over there through the forest between us
But please don't go into common (low) english tongues that are dead that'd hurt to read (for instance I di' should' tap the gull for nim'n mine flas k'n) that's only a few hundred years old and it gets worse the further back you go
just had to throw my two cents in *L*

Spoiler:
Can access almost all 2.0 and 3.5 materials, most 3.0 splatbooks, core 4.0 stuff (it's an okay game on it's own but it's definitely different from the D&D I've known for the last 16 years)
Spoiler:
player:"How much damage does a gnome do?"
DM:"depends on his stats and his weapon."
player:"so go by weight."
DM:"NO use the small weapon listings."
player:"I think you misunderstood what I'm asking. I'm playing a half-orc. I repeat my first question in light of this"
FROM Chatty DM's site: "let's attack some bitches with some hoes."
"what's the AC to hit puberty."
Please. Please keep it on regular english. Enough to have to communicate with it, I don't want to have to brake my eyes trying to understand that mumbling.

Theroc: Don't worry you can't throw a wrench in my plans, as there is not specific path i want to drag your characters on. Things happen, your characters act as they feel. I have done some research prior to starting this game, and i know that a good DM does not count on his players making the choices he/she expects.
Sooo.. I don't expect anything and yet i expect everything from you guys. The major plot line is already outlined nicely in my head, but the details are driven by causality and your character's choices.
Also, don't worry guys I'm sticking to regular English for most of my NPCs.

I'd meant: You wanted us to RP but avoid chopping off peasant's heads. Well, if they don't stop, Alevyth will be in a fight(and I don't think you got through his crunch yet.)
Good to know me doing something weird won't ruin the adventure!

Bah, I highly doubt that there will be a full scale fight for long, with some twenty Paladins and Clerics there, several of which are quite strong and skilled. If it becomes necessary i can go trough his crunch and allow him some fighting though.

Well, the initial post made it seem like they wouldn't get involved, so I didn't know. Just was saying I hope I didn't cause any unnecessary headache for ya.

The Paladins did not know where they stand on this issue as far as authority and such go. With so much going on at the moment they do not want to "mess things up" for their leader and the mission. When he told them to go, they went.
