[OOC recruiting closed] Baradur's End (Part III)

This is the thread for the third and final part of the Missing Warlock series.

We are recruiting one leader for our fourth edition game - character will start at level 4. Please post here if interested.

Dear Players,

Sorry things have been so slow of late. We had some unfortunate drop-outs, server issues (!), and real-life intrusions in part II. Personally, I am looking to have a very busy October and December this year.

Part III will likely be the shortest of the three segments, and will likely be the last of my DMing for a while due to time constraints.

With that said, I'd like to know...

1) Which of you would like to continue playing?

2) Would you all like to proceed to level 4 for the final installment? Or would you prefer to stay at level 3?

3) Are we happy with covaithe playing two characters, or do we want to open up recruitment for a replacement for Blay? (This is assuming covaithe is continuing, of course?)

Cheers,
nerdytenor

HI NT understand real world constraints totally. Despite this causing lag, I'd love to continue on beyond this time. Lag isn't an issue for me...just knowing what to expect is key.

So to answer your questions:

1) I'm onboard (if you hadn't guessed already) - its been a great ride so far - thanks.
2) Yes lets go up if that is what is called for -I'm good with that.
3) Yes Covaithe has demonstrated consistency throughout and I'm happy to let him continue, but that is not to shut down recruitment...if you feel it would help.

Thanks again NT

1): I'm still on board
2): I'd like to level up to 4- but that is just because I'm greedy
3): If Covaithe WANTS to play both characters, I don't have a problem with it. If not, then we ought to recruit a replacement. Kraegyn doesn't have enough healing for everybody...

Yeah, we'll definitely need another leader one way or the other - the only question is to recruit or not to recruit.

I'm in. I'd rather have another player, rather than play two characters.

Hey NT, I'd be up for jumping in as well. I'm always a fan of the tried and true clerics.

Joshua is still up for it. I am having a few problems so my posting may be a little slow but I am around.

Level 4 would be nice as would another leader.

So it's between renau1g and Walking Dad. Current players, if you have any preference please message me.

Both candidates have done a lot of good stuff on the boards, so no need for either to post character concepts or roll up characters in advance - don't want to waste anybody's time. We can worry about character creation and working the new character into the story after the choice has been made.

Cheers,
bachfan

The current players have spoken. We will be taking BOTH Walking Dad AND renau1g. Welcome!

New players - please create your characters at level 4 using the DM guidelines for creating higher level characters. As for fluff and working you into the story, I have some ideas on that - more on this later via PM.

Current players - please level up to level 4!

All players - I use the Character Builder for all my character management - feel free to use it and post files here. If you don't have the Character Builder, don't worry - I will convert your character into a PDF for you. I have a completely, mind-!@#$ingly insane week this week, so you have at least 7 days to level up/create your characters before we get started, and likely a little more than that.

Excellent. We have an elven rogue (cov), melee ranger (arbanax), wizard (digger), and paladin (pathfinder) so a ranged leader might be beneficial, and WD mentioned he wanted to play a shaman, so maybe I'll try an bard?

Cool, I'm really looking forward to seeing a shaman in play. Am I right in thinking that my rogue can flank with the spirit thingy?

I realize I'm not in the game at all, but I've been lurking.

Covaithe, normally not, but there *IS* a Shaman At-Will power that allows it. Stalker's Strike, I believe it's called. After a successful hit, the Shaman and his allies can flank with the Spirit until the end of the Shaman's next turn.

I need to do some reading on conjurations. In particular, if your spirit companion moves, does it draw opportunity attacks?

Kraegyn is mostly done- should be posted by tomorrow night. Added Weapon Expertise (heavy blade) for a 4th level feat, and retrained Utility Power from Sacred Circle to Bless Weapon from Divine Power. No other changes, besides numbers from leveling up.

Excellent I am glad everyone is onboard this should makes things even mroe exciting.

I to am having a heavy week, thankfully this being only day 2 I've got a few more to get Rellek into shape, I don't have a Wizards subscription so cannot use the character builder to level up, so I'll do it the old fashioned way and hope I don't make NT sick of my mistakes by the end .

Really looking forward to this next Chp NT, thanks once again.
