Should this site continue?

Should this site continue?

We don't really get anyone posting, and there are many sites a thousand times busier dealing with Doctor Who, so should the site continue? I know there are login issues for those who visit EN World, but let me know your thoughts below!

I think the problem with the lack of posting is more that we in a sort of dry spell right now. This isn't much of a Torchwood crowd so we didn't have a lot to say.

I could be wrong, but I think things will pick up around Christmas and the new season. Whether you want to wait for that is up to you.

Always the question..

Bottom line is, it is up to you. I enjoy it. And yes, I agree the lack of posting is because we only have what... 5 shows this season? and only 2 of them have been released! In the states only one is out on dvd so far...

I disagree. There are other Who sites which have thousands of posts every day (such as the new http://gallifreybase.com/forum/). And there's been plenty of big news recently which has ignited lengthy discusisions everywhere but here. So it's not the lack of subject matter!

Okay, they're talking but how much of that is discussion and how much is just noise? (i.e.- Vapid squeeing... Not that I don't do my fair share of that.)

I really like your news feed and I like having the option to comment.

This is the only place I get my Doctor Who info from.

I come by every day. It's the only Doctor Who site I visit and get news from.

this site

some of us do not come here to post at the site at all,,,,, we come to get the latest news and views of the hard working people that do the news articles.... i personaly use this site and outpost galifrey (now sadly gone...) is this site going to be the next site to go like outpost galifrey.... i certainly hope not

Mustrum_Ridcully 11th August 2009 01:31 PM

I like the news. I ocassionally visit this site for it.

I would use the forums more if it wasn't just so damn inconvenient to visit with the cookie problem. I have seen quite a few Doctor Who stories the past few months, but when I consider going here and post it, I am reminded of the hassles of switching browsers or cookies and then I just stop bothering.

Maybe it would be better if you just integrate this site CM or EN World or get that domain. I wouldn't mind discussing Doctor Who in a Media/Ampthitheatre subforum.

But maybe that all is indeed useless, since there are apparantly established Doctor Who forums and it would be hard to catch lots of people with a new forum.

But I still would like to keep the News around. :)

I second this. I live in the states, and I don't have BBC America, so right now I'm using this siter primarily for the news.

I think the issue is that it's pretty hard to motivate oneself to continue posting news to a wall of silence. :)

I think I can make more noise. :)

thank god for that..... long may the site prosper!

darkon_turas 12th August 2009 03:41 AM

I log in all the time to see what kind of DW news is out. Its the only site I found that does that without including a ton of baseless rumors in the mix. I've only done one remark in the forum: the graphic comparing the 11th Doctor to George McFly. I don't like getting into debates so I don't usually post, especially with all the rude replies I used to get in enworld when I bother to post.
