Trigger: An enemy marked by Rujah that is within 5 squares of him makes an attack that does not include Rujah as a target
Effect: Rujah slides the target 1 square. The target is slowed and cannot shift until the end of it's turn.

Effect: Rujah assumes the guardian form of winter’s herald until the end of the encounter. While he is in this form, he gains a +1 bonus to AC and resist 5 cold. In addition, each square within 2 squares of him, wherever Rujah moves, is difficult terrain for his enemies. Once during this encounter, he can make the Winter Herald's attack while in this form.

Fluff

Description:Rujah Neth is a powerfully built Dragonborn, even for his kin. While not extraordinary for Dragonborn who enter the fray in close, he is definitely on the upper end of average. His scales are a dark green, closely resembling that of a green dragon. There are a few scars on his uppor torso, but most are covered with the hides he uses to protect himself. Another feature that separates him from other Dragonborn, was the fact that he actually had a tail. While he appears somewhat imposing and gives a somewhat wild vibe to those around him, he's not overly anti-social and a relatively friendly person... unless you are one who he's seen defiling the natural order.

Background:Rujah remembers little of the land of his birth, having left at a young age. He remembers people looking at him strangely due to the hue of his scales, and that he was often harassed due to it. His parents sent him off on a ship with a group of Dragonborn. During his voyage, Rujah grew ill. He felt very weak, and could hardly function. He managed, and when he reached the lands near Daunton, Rujah felt his strength return, the moment he stepped onto solid ground. He felt as if he had just returned home. He made his way in Daunton for a few years until he decided to begin exploring his newfound strength and connection to the land he had arrived in. And perhaps, in his travels, learn more of the land of his birth.

Class Features

Warden

  • Armor Proficiencies: Cloth, leather, hide; light shield, heavy shield.
  • Weapon Proficiencies: Simple melee, military melee, simple ranged.
  • Bonus to Defense: +1 Fortitude, +1 Will.
  • Font of Life: At the start of turn, make a saving throw against an effect a save could end. If the save succeeds, the effect ends and does not apply this turn.
  • Guardian Might(Earthstrength): While you are not wearing heavy armor, you can use your Constitution modifier in place of your Dexterity or Intelligence modifier to determine your AC. In addition, when you use your second wind, you gain an additional bonus to AC equal to your Constitution modifier. The bonus lasts until the end of your next turn.
  • Nature's Wrath: Free Action to mark all adjacent allies. Mark lasts until end of next turn. Gain use of Warden's Fury and Warden's Grasp powers.

Wishlist

In no particular order at the moment, since I've no idea how item acquiration works... just listing items I think would be good for Rujah at what I think is approximately his level. Note: I only have access to the PHB and PHB2. I've no problems receiving neat gear from the other books, so long as you lemme know what it does somehow. Also: I am not fond of daily effects in general, as I never know when the appropriate time to use such a thing is... and I end up not using them oftentimes.
