Character Information

Background

Pok was born to Harrdee and Glyndel d'Sivis, mid-ranking members of House Sivis, trailing ten minutes behind his fraternal twin,Roswyn. This set a trend, Roswyn striding in beaming and beautiful, and Pok ten minutes later slipping in unnoticed. This tendency grew even stronger when Roswyn manifested the Mark of Scribing at age 11, and her family's hopes and expectations focused on her at Pok's expense. Pok was unperturbed by the even further lack of notice to his personage, taking advantage by slipping into and out of the house at all hours, or for days at a time. More bothering was the manner in which his sister stood up for him, constantly acting her part as "the good one", while soaking the praise from the room. Pok was bright enough to understand that his sister had plans to climb the Sivis house ranks. Pok also was bright enough to make his own plans for the same purpose.

The ever tardy gnome was admitted to the Library of Korranberg, only because of his family name. He was a quick study in illusion magic, able to master complex mental manipulation with ease. Later causing mass hallucination with his illusion magic. Immediately after graduating, a semester after Roswyn, Pok was forced to join the Notaries Guild. Roswyn being away would be difficult on Pok, as now his cover, the beaming light of purity, Lady Roswyn d'Sivis, was being fast tracked at the Speaker's Guild.

Darkness, a forest, tree's providing cover even from moonlight, Pok stalked in his usual manner, quickly, and quietly. Sharp pain pierced his small calf, three combatants had spotted him, but no longer, as Pok fell completely invisible. Invading the three fighters minds, they slowed to a crawl fighting off the tentacled beasts assaulting them, the illusory whips lashing out at even the surrounding trees. Pok removed the arrow from his calf and persevered onward to the message recipient.

Awards of distinction were presented to Pok for his excellence in the field. Trusted to deliver parcels without fail, to remain unaware of the contents of said packages if asked, and to be discreet if the contents were revealed. During the ceremony he was further lauded for his neutrality, in political, and personal matters.

Over time House Sivis noticed the specialized skills Pok exhibited. So did the Trust, Gnome intelligence agency, Pok was informed that he would be contacted when those skills would be tapped. Happy just to be noticed, for not being noticable, Pok silently acquiesced. Pok keeps a careful note to stay neutral in matters with the house, and now he plans to do the same with the trust.

His last assignment was running holy artifacts between temples through enemy territory. A small scout homunculus was presented to Pok for his service upon completion of duty. He was told to activate it upon his arrival in Sharn.

Ordered to accompany his sister, Lady Roswyn d'Sivis, in a mission he has not been informed the details of. Pok's current directive, to remain nearby his sisters base of operation, a tavern in Sharn...

Appearance

Pale green hair, cut short, tops an unmemorable face. Pok appears to look like every Gnome you've ever seen. He has a robe of varying shades, grey to ashen white, tied with ropes, giving an appearance of folded pockets. When he is noticed, the viewer finds it difficult to pin any defining characteristic to the short male. If you happen to get close enough to get a good look at the diminutive spy, his cloth robes shine in a very obnoxious manner, obscuring a solid look at his face. No house Sivis coat of arms adorns his clothing. On the rare occasion he drops his hood a diadem can be seen resting on his head, bearing the House Sivis coat of arms, and the mark of the Notaries Guild to each side of the crowning circlet.

Personality

Alignment: Unaligned

Pok is quiet and unobtrusive. His main goal in life is to not be noticed, except by house Sivis, for his being unnoticeable. The chip on his shoulder is small, but enough to cause Sivis to push himself to extremes in order to accomplish missions.

He is loyal to no one in particular, which makes him valuable to house Sivis and the Trust, though neither seem to have showed interest in tapping his abilities. Not being seen in public, or at all, are high on Pok's list of important things.

Hooks

  • Pok has been informed by both House Sivis and The Trust that he is soon to be receiving deeper missions.
  • His trip to the Sharn with his sister Roswyn, may be a spy mission on her. To keep track of the self-centered gnomes loyalties.
  • A reputation as a neutral spy in all matters, those in the business know Pok d'Sivis.

Kicker

Pok has a deep seated desire to outrank his sister. He'll do any task no matter how dangerous or questionable, in order to advance ranks in House Sivis.
