Misty Step
Shanairra has the Misty Step pact boon. She instantly transforms into silver mist that streams a short distance and reforms, allowing her to flee or maneuver to set up a deadly attack. When an enemy under herr Warlock’s Curse is reduced to 0 hit points or fewer, Shanairra can immediately teleport 3 squares as a free action.
Prime Shot
If none of Shanairra's allies are closer to her target than she is, she gets a +1 on the attack rolls.

Shanairra gains concealment every turn she moves at least 3 squares in.
Warlock's Curse
Once per turn as a minor action, Shanairra can place a Warlock’s Curse on the enemy nearest to her that she can see. A cursed enemy is more vulnerable to her attacks. If she damages a cursed enemy, Shanairra deals extra damage. She decides whether to apply the extra damage after making the damage roll. She can deal this extra damage once per round. A Warlock’s Curse remains in effect until the end of the encounter or until the cursed enemy drops to 0 hit points or fewer. Shanairra can place a Warlock’s Curse on multiple targets over the course of an encounter; each curse requires the use of a minor action. She can’t place a Warlock’s Curse on a creature that is already affected by her or another character’s Warlock’s Curse.
Dilettante
At 1st level, Shanairra chooses an at-will power from a class different from hers. She can use that power as an encounter power.
Dual Heritage
Shanairra can take feats that have either elf or human as a prerequisite (as well as those specifically for half-elves), as long as she meets any other requirements.

Character Information

Background

Shanairra was born to Aelar and Keira Zanne, of House Lyrandar. The Zanne were a fairly minor family in the grand scheme of things in House Lyrandar, but was well respected and rather close to members of the Devla family, supporting the other in small ways where possible. When Shanairra was born, Aelar and Keira wanted to ensure that their daughter would have a companion as she grew up, not wanting their child to become isolated and feel alone. To that end, as soon as the young child was old enough to interact with others, they began arranging for her to be around other children around her age.

The Devla's daughter, Shava was an ideal candidate, and Aelar ensured that Shanairra and Shava spent a good deal of time together. The young Zanne girl looked up to the other girl as a child even going so far as to dye a streak of hair similar to the Devla child, though differing in color. Shanairra was quite inquisitive, often slipping away from her parents to try and take Shava off to explore the woods in the less inhabited portions of the island. This tendency to explore either by herself or with Shava ended up being the result of an unusual series of events resulting in the Zanne family losing their only daughter.

Shanairra had slipped away as she usually did, investigating the few remaining uninhabited regions of Stormhome, when she noticed something strange in the forest. A tree that seemed to fade in and out of sight. She approached the tree, curious and reached out to touch it. As she did so, she tripped and fell forward, falling through a temporary portal into the Feywild... unwittingly. Now lost, Shan spent the past twelve years or so wandering the Feywild, learning to cope with it's challenges, to get in touch with her elven heritage even moreso than many of the elves of Eberron were. She met with some beings native to the Feywild, learning some of their ways, and agreed to help the Fey should they need her help in exchange for granting her the power and knowledge to fend for herself in this new land.

By chance, while hunting a potential meal, the girl ran through another portal, finding herself in Eberron once more. Confused at first, the young woman realized what had happened... somewhat, and worked to learn what had happened in the world during her absence, and perhaps reconnect with her childhood... her family and friends. However, with little money and no real proof on her person of her identity, it seemed Shanairra had some work to do before she could pursue her goals.

Connections

  • Shava Devla d'Lyrandar
    • Shanairra knew Shava as a young child, and used to look up to the older girl. While they've been separated for the past twelve years, Shanairra still wants to re-establish contact with her cousin, whether or not Shava truly wants that contact or not is another story.
  • Elec d'Lyrandar
    • Shanairra also knew Elec as a child, the boy being another of whom Shana's parents had arranged for her to play with. Shana had had a slight girl-hood crush on the boy before her disappearance, but it was something long since buried beneath her experiences in the Feywild. She still wonders how he's been, though.

Appearance

Shanairra was a rather attractive Half-Elf, though she seemed to give a much more exotic impression than her sheer appearance would indicate. Her form was slender, though not lacking in curves and her height was slightly below the median of her race. Her face was almost always cracking a mischievious smile, the girl's vibrant violet eyes taking in her environment with a slight mirthful curve. Her hair, if unattended would fall easily to her waist, raven black, save a dark pink-purple streak near her bangs on the right portion of her face. Due to her time in the Fey Realms, and her traveling between them, the girl sometimes appears as if she's only partially present.

Shanairra's dress is simple. A leather blouse covers her bosom while her midriff is bare, one shoulder bearing fey tattoo's, part of her pact with the Feywild. Her lower body is covered by leather leggings to avoid hindering her mobility.

Personality

Alignment: Good

Shan is generally a rather playful and happy person, anxious to explore and learn more about her surroundings with a rather large curiousity. She's not two-deimensional though and can become rather irate should someone be incredibly rude or mean spirited toward herself or those she's befriended. And due to her experiences with the fey, her ire can be somewhat dangerous... though no more so than the typical adventurer. She has no major overlying goals in life, having been a rather young girl when she vanished and not having developed any aspirations besides a desire to learn everything she can about just about anything, exploring and the like.
