The person moderating the D&D game session.

Grandmother-friendly
(Also used in variants like "grandma-rules", etc)
The quick test used by EN World moderators to determine what is appropriate or not in terms of language and adult references. If it would not be said around a conservative grandmother, then it isn't grandmother-friendly.

MAD
Multiple Attribute Dependency
Used to refer to a class or build that is dependent upon several above-average ability scores in order to make effective use or all powers and abilities. What classifies as multiple is a matter of opinion and also depends on the rules system and edition being used. In some rules systems and editions, being dependent on 2 or more high attribute scores might be considered MAD. In other rules systems/editions, being dependent on 3 or more attribute scores might be considered MAD. And so on...
NPC
Non-Player Character
A character run by the DM. It could be a monster, a villager, a noble, or any character with whom the PCs interact.
PC
Player Character
A character run by a player (as opposed to being run by the DM)
