You decend the steps into a large chamber. The walls are tightly worked stone, again covered by the tiny vines and the slime. The slime pools on the floor to a depth of a few inches. The ceiling glows with an unearthly light of indeterminate source, casting the area in a sangreal hue. There is a closed door to the south. After the constant snap and hiss of the fires above, the room is deafeningly silent. The only sound that penetrates here is the slow drip of the slime from the ceiling. |
