World book for Azeroth
November 3rd
2026
Dungeons & Dragons is crossing over with World of Warcraft later this year. EN World broke the story earlier this month and now Wizards of the Coast has officially confirmed that they will be releasing a 250+ page book focused on the world of Azeroth. The new Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft book will feature 11 new species along with 9 subclasses, 6 of which are brand new and 3 of which are updated from 5E. Subclasses mentioned for the book include the Death Knight, Demon Hunter, and Shadow Priest, all of which are WoW classes. The goal of the book is to allow players to play as any WoW race or class through Dungeons & Dragons. The crossover also marks the first official Dungeons & Dragons: Universes Beyond product, a new line of products mirroring Magic: The Gathering's money-making line of crossover sets.
In addition to the species and classes, the book will also contain 26 magic items, 30 "dungeon boss" statblocks, 60 new spells, and rules on mounts, companion creatures, and professions. Various iconic World of Warcraft characters will appear in the book as potential foes or allies, including Arthas the Lich King.
The new book will have three different covers - a standard cover, a hobby store cover, and a Collector's Edition featuring the Horde and Alliance logos. A DM screen will also be released, as will miniatures produced by Hasbro, and an Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack, which will include a code to access a Level 16-20 digital adventure.
Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft will be released on November 3rd, 2026. Pre-orders for the book are available now.
