Prince Valiant
Core Rulebook
By Nocturnal Media

Outstanding for both beginners and experienced players, Prince Valiant The Storytelling Game is a roleplaying game set in the Arthurian world of Hal Foster’s masterpiece comic strip. The game is by world-renowned game designer Greg Stafford (Runequest, King Arthur Pendragon). Like the majority of Greg’s games, the original edition of this game released in 1989 was published by Chaosium, Inc.

This storytelling game features deliberately simple mechanics to make it more accessible to younger players. The ease of play allows players to cooperate and enjoy the social activity of collectively creating a story, a pastime made easier as players take turns as the Storyteller.

Hal Foster’s comic strip has been praised for its art, story, historicity, and humanity. Prince Valiant and the other characters are brought to life through Foster’s storytelling and stunning artwork. Greg Stafford vividly communicates the wonder and adventure of Prince Valiant® in this new edition of his storytelling game, and players of the game find themselves continuing the traditions of the oral storytellers of old.

The new Prince Valiant The Storytelling Game is a significant improvement over the original B&W softcover. Notably, Hal Foster’s amazing artwork appears in color. The entire rulebook is full color! We’ve adding an insane number of Foster’s amazing illustrations.

The text has also been updated. Though the game is already designed to be accessible to a wide variety of players, it nevertheless contains some portions that have been modernized.

V20 Beckett’s Jyhad Diary
Vampire: The Masquerade Supplement
By Onyx Path Publishing

It’s ever been a loaded word among vampires. Jyhad is in force everywhere from lofty, perfumed Elysium to cloying, smoke-filled blood feasts. Jyhad’s the eternal game played by elders, Methuselahs, and worse — it’s the agenda of beings so utterly beyond humanity, one such as yourself could scarcely understand its movements.

Luckily for you, you’ve picked up a copy of my diary. With my help you may just take a step on the first rung of understanding. Information worth having is information you must earn through blood, and oh, how I’ve bled for what’s contained within these pages.
— Beckett

Beckett's Jyhad Diary serves as the definitive book of setting and plot for Vampire: The Masquerade, containing 30 chapters spanning different geographical regions, encountering vampires of every clan, profiling obscure and profound segments of the mythology, and providing countless story hooks on every page.

Masterfully written by the likes of Neall Raemonn Price, Joshua Alan Doetsch, Myranda Sarro, Steffie de Vaan, Malcolm Sheppard, Alan Alexander, Renee Knipe, and Matthew Dawkins, Beckett’s Jyhad Diary is as fascinating to read as to use for your game Chronicles.

Low Country
Shadows of the Demon Lord Supplement
By Schwalb Entertainment

An imperial backwater by almost any definition, Low Country earns its importance by being the Empire's breadbasket. Widely regarded as a sleepy place where little happens, Low Country hides its share of secrets and intrigues, especially now as the Empire unravels.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of halfling settlers, Low Country has shaken off its origins as an uninhabited wilderness to become an agricultural powerhouse. Ostensibly still loyal to the Empire, despite the orc-king Drudge sitting upon a usurped Alabaster Throne, Low Country's hard-working halfling farmers continue to keep the rest of the Empire fed. For how much longer, no one knows.

Low Country, a new entry of the Lands in Shadow series, reveals details about a crucial imperial province and offers a closer look at the peoples, places, and circumstances that make up life here. Whether you use this supplement to expand your knowledge of the continent of Rûl, to draw inspiration for characters hailing from these lands, or to use it as a backdrop for your campaign, Low Country proves an excellent resource for your Shadow of the Demon Lord games.

Cascade Post-Cyberpunk Roleplaying
The Veil Supplement
By Samjoko Publishing

Cascade is a supplement meant exclusively for The Veil, which means you will need a copy of it in order to make full use of this text.

In this world, technology continued to grow in leaps and bounds. Neurochips were just the beginning, allowing for every human to bridge the gap between the digital world and physical one. This new hybrid reality gave birth to a wave of technological advancement.

But that’s all in the past now.

In Cascade, this shift is systematic. Governments and law enforcement possess tech to decant anyone’s digitized mind into the Neurochips of Slacks—empty bodies devoid of consciousness.

Eventually, and entirely too late, it was discovered that this process had one major flaw: the people decanted from out-of-date Neurochips were all missing some of their memories. You are one of these people.

A Glitch.

There are new mechanics, playbooks, additional custom moves, and Plugins that work in tandem and in addition to the playbooks found in The Veil. You’ll also find 7 unique settings, resources to help create your own world, and an in-depth deconstruction of the cyberpunk genre.

A Fistful of Dragons
5th Edition Adventure
By Deus Ex Machina Games

If only there were real dragons...

The town of Miasto is not a destination.
It won’t lead to an epic quest or forge long-standing relationships.
It certainly won’t be a place to settle down in.
But it could just be the right place at the right time for strangers to make difference.
In a town absent of leadership, corrupt guilds have employed coercion, theft, and violence to increase power.

Adventurers arrive amidst growing tension and meet a simple merchant with an equally simple task—return stolen property and perhaps avert a war in the streets.

But in a town full of charlatans, murderers and thieves, who does one trust?

A 5E adventure intended for 4-6 characters of 4th level, this adventure employs more stealth and trickery than direct combat.

Expect anything.
Believe no one.

Transhuman Space Classic
Core Rulebook
By Steve Jackson Games

It's the year 2100. Humans have colonized the solar system. China and America struggle for control of Mars. The Royal Navy patrols the asteroid belt. Nanotech has transformed life on Earth forever, and gene-enhanced humans share the world with artificial intelligences and robotic cybershells. Our solar system has become a setting as exciting and alien as any interstellar empire. Pirate spaceships hijacking black holes . . . sentient computers and artificial "bioroids" demanding human rights . . . nanotechnology and mind control . . . Transhuman Space is cutting-edge science fiction adventure that begins where cyberpunk ends.

This digital version of the Powered by GURPS book opens with close to a hundred pages of world and background material, and includes a customized GURPS Lite - no other books are required to use it, although the GURPS Basic Set and Compendium I are recommended for GMs.

Gloomhaven 2nd Printing
1-4 players, ages 12+, 90-150+ minutes
By Cephalofair Games

Gloomhaven is a game of Euro-inspired tactical combat in a persistent world of shifting motives. Players will take on the role of a wandering adventurer with their own special set of skills and their own reasons for traveling to this dark corner of the world. Players must work together out of necessity to clear out menacing dungeons and forgotten ruins. In the process, they will enhance their abilities with experience and loot, discover new locations to explore and plunder, and expand an ever-branching story fueled by the decisions they make.

This is a game with a persistent and changing world that is ideally played over many game sessions. After a scenario, players will make decisions on what to do, which will determine how the story continues, kind of like a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book. Playing through a scenario is a cooperative affair where players will fight against automated monsters using an innovative card system to determine the order of play and what a player does on their turn.

Each turn, a player chooses two cards to play out of their hand. The number on the top card determines their initiative for the round. Each card also has a top and bottom power, and when it is a player’s turn in the initiative order, they determine whether to use the top power of one card and the bottom power of the other, or vice-versa. Players must be careful, though, because over time they will permanently lose cards from their hands. If they take too long to clear a dungeon, they may end up exhausted and be forced to retreat.

Dinosaur Island
1-4 players, ages 10+, 90-120+ minutes
By Pandasaurus Games

In Dinosaur Island, players will have to collect DNA, research the DNA sequences of extinct dinosaur species, and then combine the ancient DNA in the correct sequence to bring these prehistoric creatures back to life. Dino cooking! All players will compete to build the most thrilling park each season, and then work to attract (and keep alive!) the most visitors each season that the park opens.

Do you go big and create a pack of Velociraptors? They'll definitely excite potential visitors, but you'd better make a large enough enclosure for them. And maybe hire some (read: a lot of) security. Or they WILL break out and start eating your visitors, and we all know how that ends. You could play it safe and grow a bunch of herbivores, but then you aren't going to have the most exciting park in the world (sad face). So maybe buy a roller coaster or two to attract visitors to your park the good old-fashioned way?

2-5 players, ages 15+, 30-70+ minutes
By Cryptozoic Entertainment

Based on the episode "Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind," in Rick and Morty: Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind Deck-Building Game players play as and against different versions of Rick by building a better deck than their opponents.

The deck-building game is built on Cryptozoic's Cerberus Engine as various versions of Rick serve as both players' oversized Hero cards and the Villainous Council of Ricks. Each player's deck starts with the following cards: seven Genius Waves cards that give you Power, one Beth, one Jerry, and one Summer. The Beth, Jerry, and Summer cards do nothing, but can activate other cards. The "Kick" stack in other Cerberus games is now the Portal Gun stack. The Portal Gun activates the Portal deck, which transports a player's hero to a random location from the episode or other popular places from the series. That player may then utilize that location during their turn and has the option of paying the cost of the location to put it into their deck.

Whoosh Bounty Hunters
2-8 players, ages 8+. 10+ minutes
By Artipia Games

Whoosh: Bounty Hunters is a fun, fast-paced reaction game in which players try to capture monsters and collect bounty.

Each player has a face-down pile of cards in front of them with weapons and spells. Three monster card piles are at the center of the table, each with a revealed card in front of it. Each monster requires a different combination of weapons or spells or both to be captured. The players, one by one, reveal cards from their piles. As soon as the cards revealed by all the players meet the requirements of one of the monsters, they must quickly place their hand on it. The first player to do so captures it and gets to score its points. If a player tries to capture a monster without all the requirements met, they get a negative point instead.

After each attempt to capture a monster, a new card is revealed in its place. When a pile runs out of monster cards, the game is over and the player with the most points wins.

Treachery in a Pocket is a card game with nobles vying for power. They are laid out in rows which represent levels of power and the higher a character is, the more power they have. Your goal is to move the nobles of the House you are allied with as high as possible and the nobles of your enemy House as near to the bottom as possible.

13 Ghosts
2-4 players, ages 8+, 10-20+ minutes
By Artipia Games

The ghosts are fighting over who will rule the haunted mansion. The winner will be the one with the best hiding place!

13 Ghosts is a microgame for 2-4 players in which each player tries to find the ghost hidden in the opponent's crypt. The game consists of thirteen ghost cards (provided in two sets for use in four-player games), each with a number from 1 to 13 and a special ability.

When playing, you use the card in your hand and you either play it face up to apply its ability or play it face down, thereby attacking your opponent by trying to guess the number of the ghost in their crypt. Succeed, and they are out of the game. As more and more cards are played and abilities are applied, players try to deduce their opponents' ghosts and remove them from the game. The last player to remain wins.

Vengeance
1-4 players, ages 14+, 30-120+ minutes
By Mighty Boards

Step into the shoes of a hero that has been bashed and tortured by one or more of the four gangs in the game. You win by building up your hero, scouting gang dens to find the baddies who wronged you, then taking bloody revenge through action-packed fight sequences made up of dice based puzzles.

Vengeance alternates between montage turns and fight turns. In montage turns, players heal and upgrade their heroes through new abilities and items. They also go out scouting gang dens to find the bosses who wronged them and take revenge on them in the fight turn.

The fight turn is the heart of the game. Players pick one of the scouted gang dens containing a boss who has wronged them and burst into the gang den to exact bloody revenge. Players gain VPs for killing the boss, clearing the den from all the minions or, for maximum points, both. Players have three turns to do this and get out of the den in one piece.

Fights are basically dice-based puzzles. In each round of the fight, players roll a set of dice and decide the order in which they play the rolled results. Upgrade skills and items allow players to swap die-results for others or string together a number of results to perform enemy-slapping combos. Upgrades thus work towards mitigating the luck of the die-roll, giving players more control over their Fight actions.

Players score points by killing bosses who wronged them, i.e., matching the figure on their vengeance card with one of the face down Boss cards attached to each den and/or by clearing all minions of a gang which matches the color of a vengeance card they have in play.

At the end of the game players also score bonus victory points through three mission cards in play.

Stalin Moves West is a two-player strategic level hypothetical simulation of a potential World War II campaign in which the Third Reich did not invade the Soviet Union in 1941 and instead Stalin launched an invasion of central and western Europe. I believe Flying Frog Productions had 2 retail releases for Shadows for Brimstone? The "Shadows of Brimstone: Feral Vampires Mission Pack" and the "Shadows of Brimstone: Hellfire Succubi Mission Pack" I think that was last week :)

They've not appeared on any of the distributor lists I get as yet, but no doubt will in the next week or two. I know both Alliance and Esdevium (now Asmodee UK as of 1st Jan) carry the range so they'll automatically appear on the list as soon as they are available with either of them :)
