Snowhaven for Fifth Edition by High Level Games

  • ENDS: Sun, March 31 2019 11:56 AM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons 5e
  • PROJECT TYPE: Campaign setting
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $20 for PDFs and PODs of both Snowhaven 1e and 2e
Snowhaven is a Snowpunk Fantasy setting for the 5th Edition of the world's oldest and most popular roleplaying game system. Snowhaven is a dark fantasy setting perched on the edge of a snowbound wasteland. Cut off from the outside world by icy seas for half the year and snowed in all year round, Snowhaven survives on the edge of the known world by the strength of its unimaginable mineral wealth which it extracts from the nearby mountains and the magical reagents found by daring explorers on the frozen tundra. Brilliant feats of engineering keep the city warm and habitable even in the depths of the worst winters, and one of their greatest discoveries – the secret of black powder weapons – is just beginning to become known to the wider world. Initially created during the original D20 Era, the Snowhaven setting (60-page first edition) has seen extensive playtesting and design iteration, and now it is coming to a new edition and a wider market. Snowhaven is compatible with the 5th Edition of the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game. The Second Edition of Snowhaven will be fully compatible with that same system, and if certain stretch goals are achieved, it will be made compatible with Pathfinder and the Savage Worlds systems as well.”

Manifest the RPG by Waypoint Game Designs

  • ENDS: Mon, April 1 2019 3:00 PM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): The Fistful of D20s
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $50 + S&H for PDF and hardcover of Manifest Core Rulebook, unlocked stretch goals, quickstart, and more
“An exciting and immersive Sci-Fi Western tabletop roleplaying game. Just over four-hundred years ago a wormhole leading to a star system far from humanity's homeworld opened. It was the stroke of luck or divine intervention that so many had been praying for-- the over-populated homeworld was slowly dying, and humanity had been searching to find a way to survive. The star system on the other end of the wormhole was home to one hospitable planet, and on that planet, the first explorers found a miraculous compound. A new element made of hard light they called Luminescence; it was infinitely renewable with an energy yield that defied all expectation. The planet the media had dubbed Manifest for its abundance and sudden appearance, was harsh and populated with alien flora and fauna, but no sentient life. In addition to the “Lucy Rush,” people of all sorts began traveling to this new world, eager to start a new life free from corporate control, overcrowding, and pollution. Manifest was a literal world of possibility for anyone who could find a way to seize the opportunity. Manifest is a tabletop roleplaying game deeply entrenched in the Sci-Fi Western genre. Players take on the role of drifters, highly skilled travelers who use their skills to help those in need or to seek out their own fortunes. As drifters, they'll take part in shootouts, investigations, heists, mysteries, and so much more. There's something for everyone on Manifest, especially if you're bold enough to venture forth and take it.”

Basic and Expert RPG Sets Remastered! by Pacesetter Games & Simulations

  • ENDS: Wed, April 3 2019 8:00 PM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): OSR B/X
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $60 + S&H for the PDF and Boxed Set of the B/X PHB and Dungeon Guide as well as all stretch goals
“The Basic and Expert rules set remastered for your old school liking! Time to adventure like it's the 1980s! In 1981, the Basic and Expert game for the world's greatest fantasy RPG was released. Written by Tom Moldvay, David "Zeb" Cook, and Steve Marsh, these two comprehensive books created a complete fantasy game system that exploded on the gaming scene and made it into mainstream game markets. This game system is alive and well some 38 years later! This pioneering game was later revised into what is commonly called BECMI and later into the Rules Cyclopedia. But even as those systems further expanded the game, Basic and Expert (B/X) retained a huge following - one that still thrives today. It is with this history in mind that we have decided to create two new books, the B/X Player's Handbook and Dungeon Guide. Instead of merely retro-cloning this system, we have separated the player rules and game master rules into separate books. We have also expanded the character classes, added spells, weapons, monsters, magic items, and much more. All the while, we have steadfastly maintained the simplicity and elegance of the original game. We have done all of this with one thing in mind; we are not replacing the Basic and Expert books, we are attempting to open the game up for more opportunity to new and old players alike. You no longer have to search for those beat up copies of the rule books - it's all here and more!”

The World of the Lost Lands by Frog God Games

  • ENDS: Thu, April 4 2019 4:39 PM EDT.
  • SYSTEM(S): System neutral
  • PROJECT TYPE: Campaign setting
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $105 + S&H for PDF and print of the Lost Lands World Map, PDF and hardcover of the Guide to the Lost Lands World Setting Book, digital stretch goals, and more
  • NOTE: Bill Webb (Frog God Games) has been investigated by FGG for a past incident.
“Adventures to last a lifetime! The setting of Rappan Athuk, Stoneheart Valley, Bard's Gate and all of Frog God and Necromancer Games! For almost 20 years, glimpses into the world of the Lost Lands have been revealed in the publications of Frog God Games and Necromancer Games. The Lost Lands contain locations now legendary in the annals of roleplaying, from the depths of the massive dungeons of Rappan Athuk, to the city of Bard’s Gate, the Desolation of Tsar, the Blight, the demon-tainted Sundered Lands, the chaotic tumult of the Borderland Provinces, and the fabled Northlands. These publications offered hints of the sweeping scope, deep history, and epic grandeur of the Lost Lands. But only hints. This massive volume includes the history of the Lost Lands, a wealth of detailed maps, cultural information about its nations and peoples, and a huge gazetteer containing descriptions of the world's countries, cities, waterways and geography. For the first time, readers can explore the length and breadth of the great continent of Akados, including regions never before described, and far Libynos, home of the Desert Kingdoms and many ancient cultures alien to the folk of Akados. The book weighs in at approximately 700 pages in full color, with maps by award-winning cartographers and beautiful, original artwork to place you directly into the world itself in all its glory and terror. Entirely system-neutral, the guide can be used with any game system you choose.”
