(OOC - Is Thorn taking point? Protection from Acid would be good on anyone who's gonna be attracting attention in a fight. Also, does anyone have armor Thorn can wear that isn't super expensive mithril? :)) Paladin army has "improved armor" - probably fine quality...and there may be some for you. I would take one too, but I'm small :( I really need mage armor. Scotley, if they have small armor, I'm in :) Shayuri, we go together, I have acid resistance as a dragon :p you can have the spell.

Bard looks in wonder as the archer shoots the thing down in a single move. Distracted, his next attack misses the creature. But he is still ready to attack any who move too carelessly around the battlefield. And the song still continues, pure and motivating. Knowledge (Planes) - what are these things?: 1D20+6 = [15]+6 = 21 Knowledge (Religion) - what are these things?: 1D20+8 = [15]+8 = 23 - just in case Swift action: change spear into bane weapon MISS Attack; Damage; Bane: 1D20+13 = [3]+13 = 16 1D6+8 = [5]+8 = 13 2D6 = [1, 1] = 2 add 6 more if cold iron bypasses its regeneration HIT if opportunity attack is triggered OA; Damage; Bane damage: 1D20+13 = [11]+13 = 24 1D6+8 = [1]+8 = 9 2D6 = [2, 1] = 3 - add 4 more if cold iron bypasses its regeneration Scotley, bonus damage comes from the weapon material (primal iron behaves as if cold iron, but does little Extra damage to creatures whos regeneration/DR is bypassed by it) - it is paizo material, not Third party so I though it is acceptable. If you think it is too strong as-is, you could rule that only base weapon damage is increased (in this case 1d8 would be increased, but nothing else)

I have returned after a disappearance of over three years. Main reason was job stuff. I won’t bore you with the details. Binder Fred Deuce Traveler Kaodi Scotley Scott DeWar Shayuri I am not sure if anyone is even interested in Pathfinder First Edition. Most of what I see active are D&D 5e games. Since you six are all that is left of the players from my four Pathfinder games, I thought I would check with you six first. Give you a choice to see if you might be interested in playing an Adventure Path for Pathfinder 1E. Right now I am thinking of running “Return of the Runelords”. I don’t want any character thoughts at this moment. Just a simple yes or no if you are interested in playing in such a thing. It really would be hard to pick up with any of the original games as they were all in the midst of the action and we only have part of each group still active on EN World. Neurotic, Scotley, it should be shaken by 1 round + 1 round per 5 points by which I exceeded its target DC. Are these four new ones same as the one we fought with the ghouls? As soon as new threats appear, bard reacts, stabbing his weapon deep into corrupted flesh. Thanks to his reach, he is able to shift a bit back to prevent close combat, at least for the moment. Pulling the weapon back he attacks again making another hole in the demon, slightly to the left and under the first wound. Now at the safe distance (he hopes) he sets his spear and waits for inevitable counterattack. Assuming these are demons vulnerable to cold iron 49 damage + 27 by OA = 76 If demons not vulnerable to cold iron: 37 damage + 22 by OA = 59 If neither demon nor vulnerable to cold iron: 24 damage + 11 by OA = 35 Readied: Readied attack vs demon; weapon damage; bane damage: 1D20+13 = [15]+13 = 28 1D8+8 = [6]+8 = 14 2D6 = [2, 1] = 3 - add 7 more if cold iron bypasses its regeneration Standard attack vs de...

Scotley, MetaVoid, is the demon still shaken? Scotley, this sounds like vampiric touch and Viridian has good touch AC, those two points might be important (or not, you didn't post the roll). Also, I couldn't take 20 pints without dying :p Lou, I could use some of those fine healing arts you offered earlier :) HP 38/58 Viridian gnashes his teeth at the sudden pain, but focuses his mind on the objective. In this case, killing the demon. Being small has some advantages and one not often talked about is that you get a lot of beatings and you get used to pain. And he learned how to dish it out right back. He bites the thing and latches on with his claws just long enough to swipe the tail over his head. The attack is too clumsy and black metal head bounces off the demons scales. But the attacks enhanced by the magic oil leave visible lines across lower torso and upper legs of the creature, undoing what its magic undid moments ago. Summary: 12 +13 (+13 more if 20 hits) +9 Bite; Dam...

We didn't all fail the save, the trouble is, the flanker with tons of attacks and our divine caster did. I only need to slow it down, that's why I'm in the doorway. Hopefully, bard can do something. And we already saw what Vakeva can do EDIT: Now that I mention it, I have something against demons - hopefully, it is not something that needs both cold iron AND magic :( Scotley, I changed Viridians action from ready action to apply potion.

Adrian looks around and his eyes widen at the sight of the gargoyles. He turns to shout the warning...and the flicker of power turns his attention upwards and his eyes go wider still. "Demons!" Initiative: 1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10 Will save: 1D20+6 = [14]+6 = 20 Perception: 1D20+11 = [14]+11 = 25 Perception surge: 1D6 = [4] = 4 for total of 29 OOC: if needed, spending surge to pass the will roll (no roll, failed by 1) else spend surge on perception - note that as an outsider he is immune to some main effects and Aasimars have acid resistance 5, cold resistance 5, and electricity resistance 5. Scotley et al, if this is fear or charm effect, everyone gets +1 due flagbearer feat (in which case I passed exactly)

Gurnard's Head Secrets and revelations. You've come out to Gurnard's Head with an agenda. You need to find out what the wererat named Hornauer knows about the wererats that killed Sir Ghal's father, as well as any information he has on the cultists he mentioned to you the first time you visited the rocky isle. You also have task of outing him and his brood from the tower, as decreed by Lady Pendour, as task that goes against the promise you made to him. The wererat sensed your arrival and came out to frighten you off. He and his brood surrounded you all. That's when everything turned upside down. Two of the veteran guards that were brought, no, sent alongside Sir Ghal are actually retired knights of the Crimson Blades, an order of investigators dedicated to rooting out evil in the Strandlands. This wasn't was Ghal told you when asking for your help. The news incensed Caerth. Sir Ghal sheepishly apologized for lying to you, as he was ordered to do so by Sir Balorix and Aeron, Caerth's m...

They require ALOT of light, IIRC. I think i need a bio-engineer to be sure. Space is full of light. But I know watch you mean. I read somewhere Quinoa was more nutritionally complete and currently being studied by NASA. Edit: Here's a video from the ISS of an astronaut cooking with Quinoa in space. http://www.esa.int/spaceinvideos/Videos/2015/06/Cooking_in_space_mackerel_quinoa_and_leek_cream_tortilla NASA actually did a report on it back in 1993. The extra planner corpses, such as they are, as most vanished, prove less than satisfactory as food, but as a symbol of his power over this evil Vir does take some satisfaction. The attempt at dispelling the magical desecration was not strong enough and must be attempted again. Father Sosial with the army might be able to help.. A consecrate or hallow spell will also be needed. Unless Lou has ready dispel, I think we can move on the cleaning and dispelling part...

  • 03:46 AM - Knightfall quoted Scotley in post Knightfall's Aerie of the Crow God [Kulan] (IC)
Quinn waits for Aureus' question to get answered before he speaks his mind, mainly to mention the demise of Odilos so as to calm the wererats. Aureus stands in between Quinn and Phar, her face quizzical. As they leave the boats Phar has a quiet word with the guard staying at the boat about the scrags and thus finds himself at the very back of the group when they meet Hornauer. He readies a spell as threats are exchanged, but leaves his bow in its quiver. He quickly finds himself lacking too much knowledge to take an active part in the discussion. He fumes silently at the lack of trust shown by these men in not giving him a full briefing. There would be hard words latter of that he would make sure. He sighs as the men discuss the 800 years, these short lived races have so little understanding of the world.. Phar doesn't have to think very long to remember the name, Ash Witch. Her legend was so infamous that it became known not only in the human lands of the Eastern Shores nort of here, b...

"I will do my utmost best as I do prefer my guts to stay inside me." says Quinn to Quinton. At the guard's request, Quinn takes the other oar. Quinten chortles with a grin. Caerth merely nods at his mentor as they say goodbye. The half-orc knows that Aeron feels differently about the wererat, and Caerth cannot persuade him. Likewise, he knows that asking for the elder druid’s reasons is pointless, because obviously he needs to experience it firsthand, according to Aeron. Caerth realizes that in his mind, he is starting to move away from being Aeron’s student. This brings a sudden feeling of regret, sadness, and anger. Before the anger, summoned so easily due to his orcish heritage, can take over his mind and actions, Caerth turns awkwardly and moves to the boats. Once aboard, he focuses on the others, not really listening but trying to distract himself from his inner turmoil. Phar takes his place in the boat. He has little to say as his mind is already on the coming encounte...

Phar smiles at his companion. It is good to see you smile my friend. We feared for you. Phar takes a moment to share what news he has. He speaks diplomatically, not wanted to distress his still viably ill friend with the sadder parts of his tale. "Thanks Phar, and it sounds like you have to go back to that rock without me," Lorien sighs. "You can't wait. Aeron tells me that it will take a day to get to the fort, and I'll like be there for a few days." "We not wait," Aureus replies. "But, we see you when we return here. Right?" "I hope so," Lorien says with a smile. He pauses to think for a moment. "Personally, I don't think Hornauer had anything to do with Lord Ebal's death. You should try to talk to him without Sir Ghal around, if possible." Lorien lays back, obviously tired. "You rest, elf-friend," Aureus says. He nods. "Good luck." You all say your goodbyes before heading back down into the commonroom where Rosie has filled a pack with good food. Caerth notices that Aeron...

  • 10:26 PM - Knightfall quoted Scotley in post Knightfall's Aerie of the Crow God [Kulan] (IC)
Caerth feels.. odd.. at being greeted by name by Sir Ghal. Still unused to social interactions except those with his mentor and, recently, with his companions, the half-orc casts his eyes down, until he realizes he does so. He then looks at the knight and nods firmly. When the young knight talks about capturing the wererat Hornauer, Caerth becomes slightly uncomfortable. He waits until both Aeron and Sir Ghal have finished talking, then clears his throat. After a look at his mentor, who nods assuringly, the young druid says, "We promised the wererat we'd leave him alone. He looks after his rats. He's a lycanthrope, but he seems innocent." Realizing the others may not see things quite the same, Caerth continues quickly, "We should talk with him in his lair instead of showing agression by capturing him. At least, we should try talking first." Sir Ghal stops at the door and turns to speak to Caerth. "While I am willing to let the beastman have a chance to speak first, I cannot let him alon...

Just watched the trailer. Looks interesting. I saw him again in an older movie the other day. His role is small, no pun intended, but he plays it very well. It is a farce, so a different sort of acting is called for. Anyway, I found it highly amusing. Death at a Funeral is a remake of a British film of the same name. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1321509/checked the link and saw his pic and thought ' oh the guy from the station agent' and I didn't even recognize him as Tyrion Lannister.

  • 05:46 AM - Knightfall quoted Scotley in post Knightfall's Aerie of the Crow God [Kulan] (IC)
The day before was a long and eventful one and took a bit to get the kinks and knots out of his muscles, but he did so with the practiced discipline of a seasoned warrior. He dons his clothing and armor with his favored weapon clinking against his leg as he moved about. The spiked chain announced his arrival as he moved to the common room to where there was much activity to cause the rumble of voices he heard in his room. He looks about, surveying the mood as he does so, to find Sir Ghal and heads directly toward him. Ghal is easy to find. He is brooding by the fire. He looks rested but troubled. It's not surprising. The young man just lost his father. He sits at a small table with four other chairs. Aureus is already sitting with him, silently. "You are awake," Sir Ghal says when he sees you. "Rosie insisted that I let you all sleep longer than Aeron had planned. He's upstairs attending to Raius and your friend. Young Bellath is awake now, although he's still weak. You friend is still ...

I'm not sure if you were including me in this 2, but it popped up on my feed. I would be interested. Sorry Khraos this is for those people that were from my original games. I have gotten used to DMs mysteriously disappearing. You might be the first to have eventually come back. I do not even remember off hand what my characters are in any of those games. But sure, I guess I would be willing to get back into it. I Googled afterwards to see look at the old threads out of curiosity. I was also Olrich Henderthane the Arcanist and Alguhn Snarr the Giantblood Ranger. Seeing some of the old things I wrote was kinda cool. Will try to make something compelling for any new game. Glad to get back to things. Glad to have you back. Ha! Don't know about the other ones, Kaodi, but in Jade Regent you played Suldrel, an arctic elf who adopted shayuri's young Kitsune and raised her in the faraway town of Sandpoint. OOC Dang, doesn't getting 4 negative levels slow you down even a little bit? Who are you targeting this round? Big bad Demon fellow is hiding out of sight. OOC: I have to admit that as the guy who usually plays the least effective member of any given party, I'm thoroughly enjoying getting to really kick some ass in this game! Those levels did slow him down quite a bit - if it weren't for the party buffs flying around and the (slightly) better than average rolls this round. I missed that the demon is out of sight. He'll shift the Bane on his bow to affect Gargoyles (swift action) and use a shot against each of them. If I've got it right there are three targets - If that's the case he'll use his first two attacks on the first one, then one attack each on the other two. If there are four he'll use one attack on each.

You should go on the graduation speaker circuit with that speech! I think when we were coming up it was all about getting an education. There wasn't really much talk about job satisfaction or really even career so much as the idea that if you went to college and got an education you'd live happily ever after. It is sad how naive we were. Unfortunately this is too true. I remember asking how you learn what actual jobs are out there instead of job titles and never could get any kind of response. It was like I was asking the wrong question.
