Engineering is just a hop, skip, and a jump away as you were already at the rear end of the ship. Inside you are greeted by the comforting hum of the Nova Light ship reactor. Without much in the way of systems the reactor is currently in low power mode, but it looks like it was left relatively untouched by whatever scavengers stripped the ship. Skitter finds a functioning console for the...

Ships costs are abstract in Starfinder. At level 2 you will have enough BP to make the ship "functional" . It will just be a matter of working into the story how you get access to what you need, or coming up with a creative alternative.

There are some alternate access points but from what Skitter can ascertain when the blast doors along the hallway are engaged similar safety measures automatically block off the maintenance tubes. In the event of catastrophic damage this would help keep whole sections from venting air into space through the tubes, but it would take some work and time to rig them to function independently for the...

Shendra lets out a long sigh, not quite relief. She reshuffles her equipment back into place and briefly closes her fingers around the end of the wand Audrahni had given her. Not quite yet, she thinks to herself before letting go. "Let me do something for your wounds," she says to Michael, with only a slight quaver in her voice. Once he comes to her she says a few words and passes her hand over...

With a few commands you are able to get one of the blast doors along the hallway to close. That will give you some time to advance, though the enemy may decide on a change of plans as well.

There were two tactical semi-auto pistols and one hunting rifle, the latter of which came with an extra clip of ammo, as well as an mk i frag grenade. The pistol you grabbed had eight rounds left, the other one had seven, and the rifle had five (plus the six from the extra clip). They were not wearing armour of any kind, just environmental clothing.

There was a video with a couple of Paizo guys flipping through the pages of the Core Rulebook. I wonder if that is where the transcriptions came from, because if you are watching it in high resolution I think could probably basically read those pages.

Shendra goes absolutely still for about the space of a second, her eyes closing, and then she lets go of her spear and moves to unsling her crossbow. Her hand reaches towards her supply of bolts and only then do her eyes open as she places it in the groove and then quickly turns the crank to draw the string back.

Transferring ships functions to your custom rig takes a bit of doing but you appear to have been at least mostly successful. You were not, however, able to cut off other potential users from access to the controls. So what you do can still possibly be circumvented by other users with root access. "That psycho and her pet android too," growls Gistanne through gritted teeth.

What work does "urban" actually do in "urban fantasy" ? A city is mostly a place where rural fantasy traditions congregate and mix. The system should only ever be described as modern or contemporary fantasy. The "urban" is merely a setting.

Kaodi, having looked up those options, sounds good to me, I like it. Shayuri, yes, the Romans pulled resources out of Britain about 200 years before the time of this setting, leaving Romanised Celts who gradually lost most of the Roman influence without continued traffic with the Empire,of which the Western portion is now ruled by the Visigoths who sort of consider themselves heirs to the Empire but again pretty much follow their own culture. As far as druids go, I think we are safe coming up with our own interpretation. Something that might be relevant to both characters - it is 100 years or so since the Battle of Camlann and the death of King Arthur; Merlin vanished some years before that and Morgan the Fey some time after, but both figures would be important influences in the world of magic and fey, if you wanted to include them in your background.

Improved Trip; Attack vs AC; damage (1d20+13=19, 1d20+11=23, 2d4+6-2=6) - lowest damage possible! :( Note: I'm channeling next round, if you have anything that can reduce lightning resist or SR or lower fort save, cast it. The priest next to him moves across abd reaches over the catwalk, dipping the tip of his scythe into the vat of nastiness. He swaps places with the priest who was blinded by Manachan's spell, who has now shaken it off and who moves to Rolth's side, healing some of the necromancer's injuries with a spell. The three other priests move forwards with their sycthes. One slashes at Ignatius, another rushes towards Manachan. Both draw blood. Although he has the advantage of height, the third cultist has trouble getting past Edmond's reach and fails to connect. 56035 Rolth - casts spell but fails concentration against damage. Perhaps I was... ...vaguely remembering references to certain a number of dwarves fates in LotR and mistaking them for what happened in The Hobbit. For instance, I thought Bombur had died. Looking it up I now am reminded he just got fatter. Oops. You may have been thinking of the Rankin and Bass animated version. The death toll was higher in that one for some reason, if I recall correctly.

I liked it. I enjoyed it. But I do not think I was really satisfied by it. I do not know if we still need a spoiler tag but whatever... Why do only Fili and Kili bite it, other than Thorin himself? More named dwarves should have died. I think it cheapened the source material in a serious way for all the rest to live. How does maintaining the same death toll among the dwarves cheapen the source material? I thought the nature of the deaths kind of cheapened them but that's a different issue.

The night before when Sachiko and Shalelu had come home from the retelling of their 'adventure' Suldrel had presented his gift to the elven ranger. "I figured that with the windfall it as good a time as there would be to get you an upgraded kit. I know the old one has seen a lot of good use, but it was getting kind of worn out..." To Sachiko he says quietly as well, "If there is anything you thought you needed but did not quite have the coin for, you know I always hold back some money. We can grab it in the morning before heading out." Suldrel's intervention was well timed indeed, for Sachiko was just about to go take care of that very thing! She shifted her feet girlishly and gave her brother a grin. "Weeeeellll," she drawled, "there IS something..." • 12:21 PM - Umbran quoted Kaodi in post What are the powers of the One Ring?
Sauron is not really a higher order being than Gandalf and Saruman. Yes, he is. Not hugely higher - he is still a Maiar, not one of the Valar, but even back before they all came to the East, he was notably more powerful - Saruman and Gandalf are pretty minor Maiar, while Sauron was near top of the class. Remember that Sauruman, Gandalf, and Radagast and teh Blue Wizards (collectively the "Istari") are there because the Powers that Be tried once to meddle directly in mortal affairs, and it ended really badly. The Valar swore off doing that. So, the Istari are *minor* powers sent to nudge and influence, and to generally keep an eye on things. Meanwhile, before his fall, Sauron was the right-hand-angel to Aulë the Smith, the great craftsman of the Valar, who personally made the dwarven race. It is from this that Sauron knows how to make things like magic rings. Gandalf was claimed to be the wiseset of the Maiar, back in the West. But, when called upon to go be a wizard in the m...

Sauron is not really a higher order being than Gandalf and Saruman. I was reading somewhere the other day that the Istari were actually diminished by taking on their mortal forms as their true power would have made elves and men fearful of them as well. Sauron was undoubtedly more powerful as his height than they were at their height, but that is not an order level difference. Off the top of my head, I recall that Sauron took on a large chunk of Melkor/Morgoth's power, which put him on a different level from the Istari and other Maiar. Also, wasn't Galadriel born in Valinor, before the creation of the Silmarils? From what I understand, she was pretty much the wisest and (with possible exception of Sauron) most powerful being in Middle Earth. (And so much for Tolkien being a mysogynist: apart from Galadriel, the next most important female character defies society's rules, rides to war in disguise and then faces off against the most powerful of the Nazgul. I think Tolkien portrayed fe...

Skyrocket (Fireworks II): When lit, this foot-long wooden tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks, shedding light as a torch. One round later it takes flight, moving in a straight line with a fly speed of 90 for 1d6 rounds before loudly exploding in an burst of light and sound, and dealing 2d6 points of fire damage in a 10-foot burst (DC 15 Reflex save for half). If a skyrocket impacts a solid surface or a creature before reaching its maximum range, it detonates prematurely at the point of impact. Anyone who takes damage from the explosion is either blinded or deafened (a 50% chance of either) for 1 round. (50gp)Thanks. These Skyrockets might have use under certain circumstances. At lower levels (below 5th), DR can be a real pain and so can flying creatures. Even if we hang on to these for a few level they have more use than chucking Alchemist’s Fire potentially. Shouldn’t such an assignment fall to a more senior, more experience member of the Order? I looked over all of your posts for Aja and am uncertain what connection Twist could have to Aja. If TS starts play with the party as a pre-selected team, then it makes sense to me that Twist will have met Aja the day the adventure starts. If we don't start play as a team, then Twist is unlikely to have crossed paths with Aja. That's ok, though. Twist would be intrigued by Aja's divine magic. He wouldn't understand it, so it would be a big giant mystery that he'd want to unravel. He'd wonder what it is Aja does with her fingers, where the "magic" comes from, how she controls it, and whether she has any magic that makes or improves traps, gadgets, tools, or items....

Well, "Folk Hero" does imply a certain name recognition. I figure Rurik's "heroic" reputation that is mostly undeserved. He is one lazy dwarf after all. He could easily be drinking buddies with whomever is inclined to that sort of thing, though perhaps unlike many dwarves he does not tend to drink to excess. Rurik is, as per the title, a connoisseur. Too much alcohol at once dulls the taste buds, and that just would not do for this dwarf. Perfect. Javier's not a drunk, but he does enjoy his alcohol. He would probably scoff at Rurik's refined taste and complain that real dwarves ought to drink more than him, but secretly be pleased that he can rely on Rurik to be the sober one.

Actually... There is one thing: Can Olrich gain the cantrip Jolt, from the Pathfinder website, for his spellbook? Also: I do not quite understand whether the Player's Guide is considered an approved source, other than for androids. If we want to take Technologist at some point do we have to choose that as our exception or can anyone take it since it is a campaign-specific feat? Jolt is approved for your "feature". Except where noted the Player's Guide is an approved source.

The apprentice blacksmith turned several interesting shades of red as Sachiko laughed, sputtering... then the last part sunk in. "Oh, EGGS. That makes sense... Here Elli, this might be worth something, right?" Handing her a small mirror-thing that MIGHT be made of actual silver -- silver-y anyways. And right next to it... "A book? Really? Goblins can READ?" And want to? OOC: He'll look through the book, please Tailspinner, mostly looking for secret compartments or something, actually. :) "And we should get on opening that last room..." "Yeah!" agreed Fastus with a sideways look Wireth's way...

"I am not sure your sensibilities are significantly less delicate than I would prefer my sister's would remain," says Suldrel glumly, off put by the blacksmith's enthusiasm. "I may not have the same leverage over you, so I cannot stop you if you really want to, but I think I would prefer you, and Elsbeth, stay out of it as well." The lion-haired youth frowned, slowly working it out: "So... 'No'?" Well, maybe he could help somewhere else. "How about the 'case?" If Suldrel wants it, he'll toss it over. "Your brother's GRUMPY today," he mentioned to Sachiko, once the elf had gone out of (human) earshot. "Should we go look around the village to see if there are any more hiding? Maybe they have something we can sell or trade to help the people in Sandpoint?" "Hm?" The young man looked down, and then grinned, noting Elli's startled expression... He did take his hand off her back though. "Later though, ok?" he readily agreed. "I mean just LOOK at these guys Elli: all the feathers and...

Penalties due to rage ended only start to take effect on the turn after the last round it is used, right?[/COLOR] Assuming you go the full 5 rounds, the penalties would start taking effect on your initiative count (16) in round 6 (since your rage began on your initiative count (16) in round 1).

Lester, for his part, has gone to search out the lead that brought him to Crown Point to begin with. Though it had not occurred to him before now, the mage idly wonders whether the death of his master's old colleague has anything to do with what is happening. It would seem passing strange that monsters should take interest in such a scholar, for sure, but who knows whether the machinations at play go beyond that. ooc: OOOH Splitting the party :] From the small square, it's about six blocks or so to the west to a small hovel that is the reported hideout of the sage you were looking for. Other than it being a very ramshackle-looking place, it seems to have had no damage from the attack or the fire. As you approach, you hear a strong voice call 'you're a bit late. You should come in so that the tea and biscuits don't get cold.'

With what little time she has left Pixie motions to Brondelleon and says, "Got two pints of oil in my pack, maybe you guys can make 'em burn." She kneels down on one knee so the druid can get at them easily as she keeps her axes at the ready for the coming melee. his next action after finishing his summoning spell is to grab a pint and drink in down both pints, tuck one in, and make a molotov cocktail with the other. The tick will be his target for all things. . . . summoned animal, and fire bombs As his half-brother reaches for Pixie's pack, Rhote chuckles and says, "Oh, what a day it is when it is my nature-loving brother, and not I, who decides to play with fire." Instead Rhote takes advantage of Pixie's kneeling to launch a sling stone over her head and at a mite. OOC: Attack on Mite 1. 21 to hit, 2 to damage. 1d20+3=21, 1d4=2 when the summoning is done he says, "Brother, just wait. some day nature herself will lease me the power of the elements itself!"
