Secret Faces of Velsburg. While traveling through the wilderness the adventurers come across a small hamlet plagued by a recent rash or murders committed by 'The Ghost'. The longer the party stay in Velsburg however, the quicker they realize that the supposedly bloodthirsty spirit preying upon the settlement is not the remote village's only mystery. In this sidequest to save Velsburg the PCs are...

I will also add -- if you report a post, and then immediately respond to it with namecalling or insults, we are *not* going to look favourably on it. ...

Chaotic Good wins, followed by my least favourite as a DM, Chaotic Neutral. Chaotic Evil is the least popular. The developer does say that this does not count the percentage of characters with no alignment selected. You can see the...

The Swedish 1990's-set sequel to Tales From The Loop is now available from Modiphius. Based on the paintings of Simon StŚlenhag which portray a "retro futuristic suburbia", Things from the Flood takes the 1980s kids and makes them 1990s teens. Somewhere out there beyond the cordons, beyond the fields and marshes, abandoned machines roamed like stray dogs. They wandered about...

It's not like a car. It's much more subjective and much more of an art. You can directly and objectively measure a car's horsepower or weight, but you can't do that with an RPG. I don't think anything can substitute for actually trying the thing. All the graphs in the world won't give you a sense of how you feel when you play the game.

Morrus started a thread Let's Talk About THAC0
I feel like THAC0 gets a bad rap. It's the precursor to 3E's Base Attack Bonus, and came after 1E's attack matrices. It's actually super simple. The important thing to remember is that it's the exact same math, but in reverse. In 3E-5E, you roll d20 and add a bonus in order to beat the target's AC. In 1E-2E, you roll d20 in order to beat THAC0 minus AC. So instead of adding a number to...

Our group has been together for eight years now. At one point, we had eight members. With people going to school, taking breaks from gaming, etc, we are now down to a core group of four, which consists of myself (aged 34), my wife (32), and two brothers (one is 30 and the other 29) who have been with the group the longest. We are currently looking for a new person (possibly people) to bring into the group. We just started playing Pathfinder and I am DMing as well as playing an NPC to round out the group. We game at my house in Council Bluffs every Saturday from 3:30 pm to between 9pm and 10pm. We also have a 7 year old son, so if you wanted to bring your kid, they'd have someone to play with.

Our group has been together for eight years now. At one point, we had eight members. • 08:38 PM - joshinminn quoted reveal in post Out of the Abyss - Pictures of NPCs and/or Maps?
And I just got this from Mike Schley's site: As you may already know, the new D&D adventure Out of the Abyss sees it's worldwide release today. To celebrate, I've created a coupon for returning customers that can be applied to any digital downloads in the shop. Just enter the coupon code Removedduring checkout and get 15% off your entire purchase. Bonus: You can use it as many times as you'd like before it expires on September 30th. Sharing the dude's coupon sort of takes away his reward to repeat customers.

To celebrate, I've created a coupon for returning customers that can be applied to any digital downloads in the shop. Just enter the coupon code TheAbyss during checkout and get 15% off your entire purchase. Bonus: You can use it as many times as you'd like before it expires on September 30th. Note to future me. Next time an adventure comes out that Mike worked on. Wait until the official release day.
