The KS comments :erm:. Had a nasty stew of anger going. I saw some legit complaints, but so much of it felt it was coming from... Reaper not trying to get around customs (Pass to a Partner Company in a country, then ship) Higher international shipping. Reaper not underdeclaring international pledges Prices higher for the model amounts so Reaper would do better than just breaking even. Maybe there were a lot of lingering Chan board types from when they were drawn in by KS1's Cthulhu. dogoftheunderworld Please Edit the topic title so folks don't get disappointed!

I like the effect on the wings, is any of that sculpt texture, or all paint? Really nice details on the knights as well! Thank you. The painting on the wings was inspired by the texture in the sculpt. I basically painted the individual ridges that were present and added a few to maintain the pattern. The blues on the knights look really chalky in these photos, but look much better in person.

Part of the problem is that almost everyone playing D&D right now got started the way he describes. We had someone to teach us and "groom" us into being a DM, if we chose to become one. He's talking about a D&D group springing forth out of nothing-ness. And though, admittedly, this isn't a likely scenario, it is one that WotC/Hasbro should be taking aim at.I learned to GM from a standing start, using Moldvay Basic. And I'm absolutely certain that thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, of other kids did the same. And the explanation for that isn't just that the early 80s was "fad time" for D&D. The explanation includes the fact that Moldvay Basic has excellent GMing advice. It doesn't just present the rules. It tells a GM what s/he is expected to do with them, and walks through simple but very clear and illustrative examples. So the premise is that WOTC needs to do more to engage with people who haven't played TTRPGs before and convince them to DM. The chicken-and-egg problem here is that t...

The piece that was off for me... lack of zombies around Terminus. What, they declared it a zombie free zone, so the zombies know to stay away? I can see them doing "runs" and clearing zombies every day -- but to just keep the front gates un-locked and open? No zombies encountered the entire last day of travel leading up to Terminus? Just seems off. Why? They're pretty well armed and organized. Plus, it seems obvious that Glenn and Maggie's group were allowed in the front door. Remember, when Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl hopped the fence, one of the Termites said, "Joe (or whatever his name was) must have been on guard duty for them to have slipped by" The Terminus area seems pretty well fortified as well- no people wandering off to attract roaming zombies like Carl in Season 2 - the people were well inside the perimeter.

Based on hopefully you have been paying attention to your own children the 12 years before they became teenagers. In other words, other peoples' advice (including mine) won't always fit your family's needs. ... and that is about enough of that. Good night. That doesn't answer my question. There are tons of parents who make bad decisions for their kids, neglect their kids, etc. Just the number of fat kids show a problem with how parents take care of their kids. Teen pregnancies are another. It is not like kids are property, it is obvious a lot of people shouldn't take care of kids.

You will know best for your own child... And you base this assertion on what exactly?

I think Rick saw Morgan as being where he himself was at... hence the "you have to be able to come back" line to Morgan. He is really seeing his own spiral downward and looking for hope. Hopefully he finds it within himself, since Morgan did not offer much hope :( good observation - I saw it similarly about Rick & Morgan

  • 07:25 PM - Umbran quoted dogoftheunderworld in post Why do batteries go bad?
Nothing to do with battery drainage per se, but also batteries left in a device for a very long time (like a flashlight you only use once a year) can cause corrosion to occur on the battery and the device terminals (which also probably lowers the resistance Umber spoke of). Corrosion typically raises the resistance, but the resistance is already high enough that it isn't a major deal.
