Neurotic you haven't got a clue with that roll you know that it is not normal glass given that entire structures are made from it. jmucchiello given that this thing has a a negative dex mod yes it does! I'm at work and away from notes so forgive the vaugness. Large room with two tanks within one containing the brain and a small amount of liquid the other empty, The tanks are covered in a thin layer of grime and are about 10ft high. The floor is made from the strange obsidian glass that everything seems to be made of and a set of pipes in the floor leading to the tanks. Thinking about it the tanks would probably block line of effect.

Okey doke, it looks like it's just Fradak, gargoyleking, VladtheDestroyer and Neurotic that are in right now, so we'll go on without Shayuri, and Bunny can hop in anytime (see what I did there?) Y'all are currently in "Planning Mode", so if you want to take time to converse and come up with a plan, go ahead, just let me know when you're ready to take on the fort, if that's what you're doing.

Neurotic make me a intelligence check to see what you know about the glass that the tank is in.

I've only heard from two of the original party, so here's a shout-out to everyone to get their attention. riversong - Hasn't been on for over a year, so don't really expect a response Shayuri Fradak Vladthedestroyer gargoyleking Neurotic For TallIan and Skol, who both showed interest, I usually don't like having more than five players. Neurotic replaced River Song, who hasn't been on for over a year. I might be ok with going up to six, but let's see if any of the others want to come back first.

This chamber - this huge chamber - houses the massive mausoleum of the undead... The Lost City. MAP Amidst the great extension of ruined stone houses, the Inner Sanctum rests beyond a half-destroyed wall, still preserving a spot of relevance, even amidst the decadence. A mass of lights and noise comes from there, as if all attentions are focused there. Another massive tower rests at Southeast, entirely dark, but crowded with spirits of blue, deadly hue. Towards West, an old Golden gate rots away, unused and half-opened. Howls still come from the distance, but for now it seems safe to move about. [Stealth everyone! Where do you go? And.... ...s at the castle, he sees that most wards were already triggered, leaving only minor protective cantrips as testimonies of domestic concern. Many Owls were killed in a focused, fast and brutal battle. The force that passed through was the real threat, apparently. Arduniel meets the diseased. Now, they are fully recovered. All three tainted heroes, plus Allanor, are here. They felt they had to move towards the castle with all urgency, seeking out a tome held by the Priestess - they dreamed about it, or so they say. They're kept on a short leash, though: they attacked everyone and everything on sight as they arrived. Inside, the ruins aren't terribly different. The only true distinction appears on the back rooms, where the Priestess kept her altar: the sanctuary spell fell, the room's been ravaged and the priestess vanished. No one remains, except the dead - both drow and owls. The faint presence of a couple of teleportation spells remain in the air, marks on the floor denouncing it. A single survivor managed to escape, having only a faint glimpse of a blind mongrel. Other encounters were pretty much the same. Bodies weren't found. Equipment was lost. Little more's available, even within the captain's subconscious mind, though. Harfik grasps from the memories that the Blind tend to fight indirectly. If they manage to loot the bodies of the dead or capture anyone, they certainly knew of the Teraphim before this encounter. Odds are they did know... and ambushed the Teraphim entirely aware of their actions, during these years. "The undead could present an obstacle to us," Icosa muses. "Is there a way to eliminate them completely?" "As long as the rituals can be performed, they'll keep coming back. The only way to stop them is either by destroying their very souls or the means to their profane rituals." - says the shaman. @Greenmtn @Shayuri @JustinCase @Neurotic

"Dram's men came here earlier, asking for an orc shaman, a traveling dwarf, a pair of hooded women and a shifty monk. There's more, and then there's less, I see." - she motions towards the band. "I can offer shelter, if you come with me. And then we can discuss what in the blazes Dram wants with you." - she points forward as the group enters the plantation. [Ok, Marius's still hidden, of course. The others are quite visible. You're just a few steps into the plantation, away from curious eyes. For good..." - something jumps in the back of Harfik's mind, reaching out for Aanzu as well. Somehow, they sense that the same happenstance reached the Captain, back in the base camp. She lies. The Blind met the Teraphim. They might not recognize them, but the Teraphim Watch has confronted them during these years. And they were not friendly. "We tried to leave, several times. But the dead always attempt to keep us here. In the past, we sought an alliance with the Valley Dragons. Only one paid us heed. But the dead overwhelmed her, and they've cut our path to the Valley. Whispers speak that she's with the dead, now." "We have only two ways out, now: through the undead city or by means of a Teraphim artifact. That is, if the Teraphim can help us bring it back to life..." - she studies the party. Neurotic JustinCase Greenmtn Shayuri
  • 02:51 AM - Archon Basileus mentioned Neurotic in post IC - Tideruler: The Fall of Laholt He discorvers a frightening amount of magical statues and idols around the studios and tents. As he expected, most of them portray the ancestorís cult, typical of the Fey. Still, a few statues translate the new elfic patheon, something represented by the Priestessí practices around Alessia. Some of the statues have been enchanted to create emotional reactions on the worshippers Ė from fear to comfort. Others have been prepared as fertility charms, or simply as pieces to harness magical forces. Some have also been prepared to house natural spirits, while others have been made to become funeral icons. The ones that interest Daxio the most, though, are those that have been destroyed. They held language and illusion enchantments, preserving messages and tales delivered by the Lyllend as prophecies. He seeks out for any other pieces of information, but it seems that most of the studios were destroyed, along with their owners... Watching from afar Morgrym already understands the nature of the deals: both Willy and Tessa employ bartering charms, using magic to sweeten deals and smooth the talk. Between them, the mushrooms hold natural properties themselves: the batch they're negotiating seems to increase perception and create illusions, all at once... They could certainly be used in interesting alchemic experiments... The youth pulls a couple of mushrooms and waves them in front of the group. "Smell this... Even though the forces focused on their eastern attack, the area lacks any solid barriers or frontiers. More might be hidden - after all, it's in their nature to act in secrecy. The very nature of the situation confuses Moss. why would they waste their forces in such a disastrous attack? After the task is done, the conflicts die out. Here and there, the hash consequences of the battle still mark the horizon. Suddenly, the encampment's met with a commotion. The dragon sees it from the distance: someone got caught and is taken to a central hub amidst the tents - probably to be harshly dealt with. If I understand the story correctly, wardstone was destroyed and we are now the wards. You might need to build a new one. With heroes sacrificing themselves or at least their mythic power to build one. You could take that non-mythic option for extra 'mundane' power in mythic campaign. I cannot recall right now what it was, but I remember looking at it when I was making the character There is an archetype with four elemental eidolons (these are summoner pets, but not really :) ) - first of all, you get four of them, but with predefined evolutions..and second, it fits your description. An elemental ally is a druid who has crafted powerful bonds of trust and friendship with one ally from each of the four primary elemental planes. Elemental allies are similar to genie-binders Best part is, it replaces only wild empathy and natures lure. Metavoid and Neurotic have some cool ideas here. What's the ruling from our Friendly Neighborhood DM??? I will say that I was leaning toward my druid having a preference for earth elementals.

seriousmoonlight, as fighter 6 I get an ASI - can I take the feat? Fell Handed (Unearthed Arcana) You master the handaxe, battleaxe, greataxe, warhammer, and maul. You gain the following benefits when using any of them: You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls you make with the weapon. Whenever you have advantage on a melee attack roll you make with the weapon and hit, you can knock the target prone if the lower of the two d20 rolls would also hit the target. Whenever you have disadvantage on a melee attack roll you make with the weapon, the target takes bludgeoning damage equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of 0) if the attack misses but if the higher of the two d20 rolls would have hit. If you use the Help action to aid an ally's melee attack while you're wielding the weapon, you knock the target's shield aside momentarily. In addition to the ally gaining advantage on the attack roll, the ally gains a +2 bonus to the roll if the target is using a shield. Sounds good to me!

Arcanists have a variant on countering that is an Immediate Action, which requires a spell slot one higher than the spell being countered. Daxio wasn't holding his action, so would have to use the variant, but doesn't have the requirements. (Teleportation is 5th level).

I thought the slump is due your surgery? And I just started. My preference is pathfinder, 5e, 4e dnd in that order. Human fighter or possibly an alchemist. I recovered pretty fast from the surgery, I was only off work for a week. The biggest slump I had was how long it took to create all the background/backstory details for the sort of character you wanted. I had no problem with wanting to do all that extra work, but what we want to do and what we actually manage to get done in a reasonable amount of time are two different things. Hence the need to change the setting to make it easier. Although I have no problem with Pathfinder or 5e, I don't want to run a game in an edition other than 3.5 for the simple fact that I am most experienced in 3.5. If I tried to run a new game in a different edition, it would be neither smooth nor fast compared to Sion. So for now I am not asking for a vote on a preference in the rules. We will be sticking with 3.5.

Only problem, bye bye stealth - there are always undead within 120' in this world :) Also, Yikes! We're really getting artifacts...Fulgrim isn't the sneaky type anyways. And it shouldn't do too much when sheathed.
