Just in case not everyone is getting these notifications: River Song Shayuri Fradak VLAD the Destroyer Neurotic

http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?556718-Undead-Apocalypse-Hero-Roster Here are all the old characters. Just to alert the others: River Song Shayuri Fradak gargoyleking If everyone comes back, we’ll just pick up where we left off and continue the fight. Perhaps Neurotic’s character could fall from the sky at that moment, lending aid. I can also skip past the fight. But, that means you lost, and will have to live with that. And it may not go well for you if you choose that route. If not enough come back, or if those that do want to make new characters, then I’ll assume this ship was lost at sea. The choice is yours. And Neurotic, you may join and create your Warlock. If you are an angel of some kind, you’ve been severely depowered because of the Faith Sickness, which is why you are mortal, but the rest of the story is up to you. We can work you in pretty quickly.

OOC: Are the niche the red "dots" we see on the map? Yes, Though I don't think anyone can actually see the one on the left. That big grey square thing is a 20-foot high stage-like platform. But we can assume that most player's passive perception can spot the one directly across as long as you are in line-of-sight of it. While I'm here, I think I will bug @tglassy, @eayres33, @gargoyleking, @Fradak, and maybe hold out a little hope for @River Song to take a turn so we can get this thing done. This is reminding me of the 'good ol' days' of D&D when I had quite a few long campaigns that came to their last session... and no one could ever make it.

So, I've been getting the final battle(s) maps ready, and I'm wondering... do we even have everyone? I mean, I've heard from Ancalagon, Prickly Pear, EarlyBird, gargoyleking and tglassy, but it's been awhile since Fradak and @eares33 have posted, and River Song appears to be gone. If we're missing more than just Kurzon, I might just narrate that group for the story's sake and remove some aspect of the fight. Is everyone leveled up and ready to go?

Okay, let's get moving, then. I'm sad that River Song may not be joining us for the end, but such is PBP. Frankly, we've done pretty well keeping as many people as we have. Let's see if we can all make it to the end!

Just to help you decide, it's not that the "get the staff" group is NOT going to fight. There's a good chance both groups will fight. It's that one group will prioritise getting the staff while the other group will prioritise stopping the monsters from killing the first group. Sounds like the Dispensables and the Infiltrators to me... Sorry, River Gang. Speaking of which, River Song, you still with us? We miss you!

During this period of break, Lal will begin mastering the trick but devastating flail. After getting Flint's somewhat uncertain opinion, he asks Vin as well ( River Song ) retarding possible magic on the weapon. He also asks Loosh if he wants it instead OOC: I *think* that it's either Lal or Loosh that should wield this one, given that it's a 2-handed weapon... Lal also took advantage of his new connection with various animal gods to speak with the local birds, trying to see if they had seen any of the hobbed goblins nearby (speak with animal, beast sense) Upon hearing of the Troglodyte with drained blood, Lal is left aghast. "Back home, there are evil spirits called the "Masan". They can fool their victims, and then drink their blood. Very dangerous, we cannot tolerate their presence here!"

River Song, I think Kurzon needs to take a stab at the ghosts and that would be the round.

Not too late for Aridha or Beckah to climb aboard if they want :D Shayuri, River Song “Bootlicker,” drily mentioned a deep, rumbly voice just before Rana and the frog finally broke away to the right, into the cattails. The two of them splashed along, picking up speed, cattails wiping by left and right as the crumbling slope of blocks on the other side of a mossy-green ‘moat’ got nearer… Nearer, NEAREST, impossible to stop now! At the last moment: powerful legs bunched up and… Hop! Action: Jumping over the 'moat' with her frog; and starting the climb up if enough move.

Just a few questions/update the round is not over still need Bekah @River Song and Aridha @Shayuri to go. Will update tomorrow so people can hopefully get through this before the holiday weekend. So first - @Neurotic and everyone really. You can not move when you are grappled, so if a tentacle thingy has you grappled and tripped up/prone (what happened due to the 20 it rolled). So instead I used your roll as poking at the tongue with your sword. And you rolled a 1 - so I humorously punished you. See below. And @hero4hire was wondering at the +5 dmg. Think it is +3 which still pokes holes throughout that frog and kills it. Just wondering about the modifier and if I missed something. @Binder Fred - I used a roll one of your rols for a handle animal check and it was a 7 (+2) which normally I would say would be close enough, but the frog is distracted by the others to move to quickly. You are not yet at the rumble, but could dash to the top next round with a good animal handling check or Persuasion if you talk to it. You were talking to Aridha this round correct...

"Maybe parties AFTER an long day are good but doing them before you head off...." she trailed off with a tired smile “Crowds,” commented old Rana with distaste, re-ajusting her shawl. “Too many people. Too much noise.” She breathed-in the smell of organic decay on the wind... Soon. Even her frog seemed less nonchalant and more eager. Once at the moathouse, as the weird bircalls and the weirder croaking resonated across the fen... “Bandits are trespassing here,” the witch reminded them all, her voice low, forcing them to lean closer. “Meddling with things they shouldn’t and gathering goods in there - maybe even people!” Most importantly, said her eyes: “Ruining the tranquility of my swamp.” OOC: Impromptu strategy session?

Thanks again for everything guys. Sorry to see you go. It must be hard playing a servant. Kinda limits your options. I get the feeling Everyone is ready then expect a fairly meaty RP update in the morning, working late all week. You'd probably be right :) Which level are we supposed to be? Do I still need to track those surge effects for the next adventure? I plan on writing them down in character sheet...

ouch indeed, but nice to see everyone else joining Bekah at the bottom of the hit point pile! :) Just everyone remember that the "HUGE" spider battle I planned out got in 4hp vs the party before you all murdered them.
  • 02:21 AM - industrygothica quoted River Song in post Return to The Temple of Elemental Evil - (full, at the moment)
And Rana... Strength of the body: 1D8-1 = [1]-1 = 0 Dive-bombs on top of that pile. Two 1s in a row for HPs So where's the advantage on those rolls when you need 'em? That's brutal! I got two 1's for Bekah; but at least she has a positive CON mod. I think I rolled a 9 or 10 last time, so a 2 this time is still balanced. I'll quit complaining now... :)

Rebekah was going to go Lore but Bekah may end up Valor; not sure yet. Gwylla has the arcane and lore skills covered as well so I was thinking of moulding Bekah into a swashbuckler - ish style of fighter. Just a bard as opposed to a Rogue archetype. Hmmm... thoughts? I say do what would be most fun for you. Sent from my SM-G950U using EN World mobile app

I was hoping that Kurzon was going to be able to block them off, but forgot that you can move through allies with penalties. Getting shot didn't even register. :) His next round, if he gets one, better be awesome. Otherwise...... It worked for a little bit... I totally thought it would work, too! I even had a plan to start sending bad guys the long way around (to keep 'em out of the fight for a number of rounds) and then I realised that they didn't need to. I'll still role-play 'em as being reluctant to try, though. He's perfectly likely to step on 'em if they get in his way. Not to mention, if he feels like breathing, he'll breathe... regardless of the number of allies in the blast. They're probably better off not to get in his way...

Insight roll for rebekah before I do my IC post. EB if you could let me know the vibe she gets? [roll0] She believs Turuko especially about the divison of treasure, a greedy vibe perhaps. Nothing torrid just not very noble. You could hasten things up by posting major NPCs or interesting points in town and we each decide what to visit and whether we go as a group. That will enable the group to a) cover more ground faster b) have different relationships with NPCs - local witch for example might drink tea and discuss herbs and curses with Rana...or may mix herbs and throw curses against her (or both :) ) If we go as a group, thieves guild will not show itself (assuming this little town has one and that they aren't already with Rebecca :)) Good ideal I will work on that then. Maybe someone should do a bit of reconnaissance around town for an hour or so and coe back to let the group know what they learned.

Rebekah watched the exchange with some amusement, the poor man was no doubt befuddled by the interaction of this odd group. Looking about with a air of detachment, Rebekah thought that everyone could do with a good wash; for a start and the hair goodness gracious there were some wild assortments. "Needs must," she murmured into her cup. Aloud, "While I am sure the details are fascinating to my companions, it would seem good sir, from their questions that we will undertake this venture. Now I must beg forgiveness and retire for I have absolutely nothing appropriate to wear for such an occasion." Standing she inclines her head to Emmyr, "Master Anvilforge here will represent my interests in this conversation, he has my utmost confidence. Good morning to you all." With a flourish of her burgundy dress she exits the room, she has some shopping to do! Templeton took a deep breath after Rebekah left. "Oi! Praise Cuthbert she left. A bit too much perfume on that one eh?" He said, emphasizing his st...

Will it be sufficient to kill these? It does use up your channel divinity and I am not sure what other functions it has. I was thinking of getting Kurzon to shove the one opening the grate and have it collapse on the ones crawling under. Would that be possible? I like it enough to let it happen. We should see what Tglassy wants to do, though. For all we know he'll melt all their faces off first.

is there a lamp or some lamp oil in Lionels boat? Not unless one of you brought it along. Goblins didn't use any. Enseth has a headlamp, but that doesn't necessarily make it obvious that the boat's friendly.

Hm. Okay so...that's your privilege of course...but strictly OOC I'd like to know how I can fix that? Wildshaping is something I'd like to rely on, and getting early access to CR1 is part of the mechanics Moon Druids get that make up for them not getting extra spells and the ability to refresh spell slots on short rests and so on. In my defense there are only a few that Aridha might have "seen" in her early career. As for the others, they would make excellent denziens for an encounter or two. CR(1) Brown Bear Dire Wolf Giant Hyena Giant Spider Lion Tiger I thought of putting a Y beside brown bear, but then you would never use black bear. There is also the off chance of RPing the beast within "showing" you a new creature right for the situation. I will take any ideals you have on how to improve the list, but I just like a character having goals. It was nice of you to give her an excuse. :) hitpoint roll = [1] lol: lady of luxury has it's drawbacks eh? Yes, yes it does (haha) I think The...

Putting down the tea absently, "Now, Master Javin; where do we stand on the matter of this wheel of yours?" 88340 "We are ready mi'lady. I must warn you though that we will need to push on well past dark, it will be tiresome for some." he says frowning at those that will take turns walking. "But I can promise you a bed at the end of your journey, and not the cold hard ground to sleep on," he hastily adds. The prospect of a bed is grand news to everyone, so no one disagrees with traveling after dark. After gathering their loot and quenching the fire, the merchant train sets out once more, weary of the forest about them.
