Iím not entirely sure how to build this monster, however this gist is this: the frog is entirely female and can ONLY reproduce with humanoid males. It starts with planting a big wet kiss that charms the victim and they then go Of for a tyst.

abe ray started a thread Television ball
This crystal ball when thrown at foes traps them in a DANGEROUS television show for 25 hours, if they survive then they are released and canít be trapped again for the same amount of time that they were trapped! Iím just not sure if it should be rare or just uncommon. If itís used in version 3.5 what spells & cost would be appropriate?

How would anyone create the muppets for either pathfinder or starfinder? Just do your best as they come in a wide verity of both forms and sizes. Curious, my fantasy world has a race of muppets. I haven't gotten to actually stat them up. but what I have so far is they are medium critters, with 30' speed, bonus to charisma and dexterity, penalty to constitution, and they have the ability to turn a critical hit into a normal hit, but they lose a limb until it can be reattached. In extreme cases they can survive as only a head.

  • 06:04 PM - BookBarbarian quoted abe ray in post Batíleth in 3.5 dnd?

  • 09:26 AM - Cleon quoted abe ray in post Pellet bow?
Thanks, now would other giants(e.g. ogres) use it? Well if we assume the "same stats as a sling" proposal I made earlier in this thread applies, they could but they probably wouldn't. A Large sling bullet does 1d6 damage, a Huge one 1d8, while sling stones do 1d4/1d6 at Large/Huge. All the SRD Giants do more damage with their Rock Throwing (2d6 for the Large Fire/Frost/Hill Giants, 2d8 for the Large Stone Giant and Huge Cloud Giant). If for some reason we're restricting them to standard ranged weapons instead of rocks, they'd do one or two dice-levels higher damage than a "sling model pellet bow" simply throwing javelins (1d8/2d6 for Large/Huge) like the SRD Ogre uses. Of course, like any 3E D&D ranged weapon attacker they'd generally be best off for damage and distance with a Strength-bonus composite longbow (2d6/3d6 for Large/Huge) like the SRD Storm Giant uses. The Giant type is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, so they can all use composite longbows.

  • 08:42 AM - Arvok quoted abe ray in post Burning books question
Considering that book burning has happened in real life, would it happen in dnd? Any blessings/curses activated by said burning? Mass book burnings only occurred after the invention and widespread usage of the printing press. This, to me, is one of the quintessential aspects of the modern world. D&D, IMO, is supposed to be set in a medieval world where books are a very precious commodity. So, while there might be a public book burning in D&D, it would probably be a burning of one book. Perhaps, it was discovered someone had in his possession the writings of the mad wizard Yxtrix, and the town lord makes a very public demonstration of his opposition to evil. There wouldn't be enough books in circulation--especially multiple copies of the same book or even many books on the same subject--to warrant a book burning ala the NAZIs. The only mass book burnings might be something like the fire at the library of Alexandria.

Iím not sure if we did dryads myself. Take a quick look and get back to me. This, BTW, is part of why I suggested you make a post aggregating all the ones done. Keeps us from reinventing the wheel. Edit: a couple of posts above where I made that suggestion on p23, I found ďFeiaĒ was what we were using for fey creatures. So even if we didnít do dryads per se, we have that. So...Feia arborbellator

Infant-trees are pretty much what I just told you, but the infants always want to fight! They thusly defend their trees. Think a warped version of dryads. I forget- did we do dryads?

What about their main(if not their only) weakness? Well there are a number of approaches to doing a "Vital Spot" like the Killer Klown's red nose. The simplest would be that if the Klown is struck by a roll of natural 20 it must succeed at a Fortitude save of, say, DC 20 or 10 plus the damage rolled (whichever is higher), or its nose "pops" and the Klown dies. From what I remember of the film they used sharp objects to pop the nose, so it might only be piercing and slashing damage that can trigger the vulnerability. Some sort of Called Shot rule might work but those tend to be discouraged in vanilla 3.5E D&D.

Before this detour becomes too acrimonious, and while I am aware that statistics are generally important to prove scientific hypotheses, I think I should probably reiterate the context in which I (and possibly Jaelis) was answering: Would a scientist be able to read wizard writing,or would they have their own writing methods? If they're a wizard then probably. If they aren't, then why do you think that they might? Donít scientists in our world use complicated mathematical formulas to try to explain their various theories?
