Thank you for keeping this alive. I'm not skilled enough with Excel to be of use other than play-testing... You're very welcome! Luckily I'm an IT guy and the code/equations for Excel are pretty easy for me to follow. Speaking of play-testers, I've created a Bug/Error reporting form to keep track of what needs to be fixed in FA. If you know of a bug I haven't tackled yet please look into reporting the bug. It'll help me save a lot of time backtracking through the form to find any errors and such. ForgedAnvil Bug/Error Tracking Form

Reset is broken on the latest BETA. It messes up all the cells on the start page. A lot of blanks and ### +1 on this, across all pages. Importing a character seems to restore everything except that the first level HP is set to 1 instead of max Hit Die. I see what you mean. Beta 7 has been pulled down and the original link won't work anymore. I'll post an update when it's back on. Try new link. I had accidentally linked to an old build in the initial email. The old link is dead now and won't get you far. Edit: Old link is not dead. To avoid confusion, use this one: goo.gl/G21WTU

Bingo! Thanks! I have found that I loose enough resolution printing hard-copies from PDF that I prefer to print directly from the spreadsheet. Did saving as a pdf then printing help? Just curious if I should continue recommending it as a solution.

Greetings, I am having a problem that is related to either my Excel settings or my printer settings and I'm hoping someone here can set me to rights... I am using FA 2.28 Beta 6 and am attempting to print CSI, II, IV and V double sided so I have been selecting these sheets selecting 'Print' adjusting my print properties and hitting go and the printer will print CSI on one page, print CSII and IV double sided and then print CSV. Any ideas what setting I need to adjust? This wasn't a problem for other versions but I think the problem is on my end. When saving as a PDF everything works fine; the problem just pops up when printing hard copies. Many thanks in advance. jtk Have you tried just printing CSI, II in one session and then select print again and choose IV and V? Personally I print to a PDF and then select my pages rather than try it in Excell I second KimoKhan on this. When I want double sided prints from excel, I typically save as PDF first. The easiest way to do it i...

Sounds good. I'm also having trouble getting my 4th level feat to load in the active features (rogue), doesn't seem to matter which feat is selected. See the below quotes and let me know if this resolves the issue. For that matter it looks like none of the Active Features for subclasses are really showing up. Main class is like Spell Recovery, The fact that someone has Channel divinity or Bardic Inspiration, but subclass specific information is not showing up on Character Sheet 1. It is on Summary On the start tab, look for Storm Herald Aura under the class features section and replace the "#N/A" with something from the drop down list. The way Beta 3 was coded, the N/A in the Storm Herald was preventing most subclass and feats active feature listings from making it to CSI

Greetings Colleagues... I think I found a glitch on the 'Start' page in section '3. Character Details'. The Darkvision is set to 150 for all races and I can't get it to change when changing race. The overrides will change it but I can't get it to stay with the Racial defaults. jtk Edit: Was tinkering around and got it to clear by resetting the sheet but then it gets stuck again. This was pointed out earlier and has been address in v4, but thank you.

No kidding! Why the hell did they care how we play? So frustrating... What you have to understand is that you're having fun the wrong way. /s

I posted about the removal on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/7z8cjg/forgedanvil_dd_5e_character_generator_is_gone_due/) and kicked a hornet's nest; lots of different opinions and lots of snide comments (I guess that's reddit for you...) I did want to say to Forged that I'm sorry you were forced to take down the sheet. It's an amazing resource that helped a lot of people get started and helped a lot of experienced players deepen their understanding of the game. Thank you for your work! Let's hope this isn't the end... I saw that. My favorite was the grognard lecturing us on old fashioned pen and paper.

Forged, Got all the other players in my group set up with V 2.00. As new players, the new format makes calculations and combat sequencing so much easier. Well Done! I noticed a tiny bug on CSII. The print area is set so as to cut off the last line on the page and lower box edge on the 'Traits' box. Simple to fix but wanted to let you know. jtk Nice one, good catch this helps everyone. Corrected in the next build! Awesome to hear it has improved your groups gaming experience - this is exactly why the tool exists. cheers!

Just input my cleric into 2.00. Love the Char Sheet! very useful layout. I couldn't add more than one language in the custom background, is this a bug? Thanks! jtk Cool, good to hear you're enjoy the latest build. Setting the tools to 0 allows 2 languages, I recall something in customizing backgrounds that this is the recommendation (don't have the reference handy at the moment)

Long time plunderer, first time poster.... Thanks for a great bit of kit! The customization options are top-notch. Along those lines, I have a Dwarf Cleric build and I want to put the name of my battle axe on the sheet in Dwarvish Runes (I have a TrueType font installed). Is there any way to allow that font to display on the first page in the 'name' box for attacks? Thanks in advance for your time... jtk AKA Ulfberht Undercroft If you are using v2.00 b3 yes :) 1. Go to word and type the name using the font you have then highlight the name and copy it. 2. Go to the Start sheet and press F2 in the the name override cell and paste this text in (it'll be in Arial Narrow but that's fine) 3. Go to CSI, unlock it and select the Attack1 Name cell and change the font to the Dwarvish runes font and voilà 4. Relock CSI, so you don't accidentally delete a formula on the sheet
