Full round spells+silence

The following happened to me when I was casting a Summon Monster VI spell.

I started casting it, but when it was the enemies' turn, she moved a silence into the space that I was occupying. Thus end of spell.

I assume the Dm made a solid call on this matter but I wondered what anybody else thought about this or if there are any rules for specifically stating that a full round spell with a verbal component ends when brought into a silence.

I'd have to say yes. Theres no hard rule for it, as in theres no quote that says "if someone brings a silence effect into range it disrupts the spell", but since silence cancels spells just like anything else it would fubar the spell too.

Perfectly legal. I've used it myself on occasions.
