    Fantasy Music

I read a thread about fantasy music before, so I thought I should post this

Check this mailorder/label out, they are hosting Za Frmi (the undisputed kings of the fantasy music scene). They even got samples from the upcoming albums YUM YUM

Their first two albums is about a group of orcs on an epic adventure involving a Vampire Lord, a boneclad shaman, human settlers, Enchanting gypsies etc.

The albums are recorded in "orcish" or "black tongue" so theres a translation in the booklet. Each album is a story that unfolds with each track so they are not separate tracks..

    I hope that made sense

We use techno/trance as our character themes. Given our penchant for The Matrix style melee, it fits. DJ Micro's "Tech-mix" series kicks a$!

I know I push this every time game music comes up, but I heartily recommend using music by MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE. Best music ever for adventuring in creepy settings: dungeons, dark woods, whatever.

No discussion of fantasy music can go by without mention of Basil Poledouris's Conan the Barbarian soundtrack. It's the movie soundtrack against which all other are compared -- and it's used for other movies' trailers all the time.

By the way, can you still buy that soundtrack? I haven't had luck locating it online.

There was a thread on that recently. My suggestion was to buy it from Amazon UK. While you're at it, you should pick up some of the Fantasy Masterworks available in the UK -- especially The Conan Chronicles (and its second volume).
