Ok all things being fair, we all took the risk of going through the portal/deck of many things thing and i lost 10,000 xp wich was quite a blow really ,others gained things like a level or 10,000 we all agreed to do it some of us lost some of us won .
I was specifically looking for a staff there was one , its mine , i actually couldnt believe the cheek of the sorcerer when he said he should get it.

Did you tell your comrades before hand that you wanted first claim on any staff and get their assent to that?

Could be a divine spell staff anyway. Woohoo cure light wounds and sanctuary!

It has to be said that the party knows i've been atfter a staff for a long time.

If thaz the case could come in handy for the paladin

More than likely a arcane staff as has a gold dragons claw @ the top of it.
