D&D 5E Cleric / Monk MC

For the new 5e game we started, I've decided to play a Monk / Cleric multi-class. Right off the bat, I know it's not exactly optimized, but I'm going to do my best to make it work. The idea behind this came from 2e Specialist Priests. Some were essentially hybridized Clerics taking a little bit from other classes to fill a certain niche. In this case, the character worships Leira... and believes that Leira wants her to become just such a priest... combining Way of Shadow with the Trickery Domain.

The first decision I made was to go with a Monk level first. Not sure if this is the right decision, but for now, that's what's going on. Will probably take a Cleric level next, but will follow that up with 3 Monk and then 3 Cleric. After those first 8 levels I have to decide which of the classes will be dominant. I'm likely going to go 12/8 on the level split. Just not sure whether the dominant class will be Monk or Cleric. If anyone has done the math on that, I'm all ears.

Will post up the character details when I get a chance this weekend.

Given that you seen to be focusing on stealth over healing, i would say monk 12.

Cleric would add some spells like mass cure wounds, raise dead, and heal. Modify memory might be good though.

Monk 11 give's you additional movement, immune to poison and restricted-at-will invisibility.

Sun Soul Monk/Light Cleric is one option I thought of - Storm Cleric could be great for lolz as well. Heck, even with the new Arcane cleric, you could throw a bunch of stuff that isn't light. :)
