“I cuild gae oot an’ see,” Morgrym offered. “Change shape, like a bird or a dog, somethin’ unremarkable.” He looked around, not liking that feeling. Quietly he started casting, tossing puddles of water on the floor around them.

Individually, each hero can't seem to find a way out of this fight. Nonetheless, their combined efforts offer a peaceful resolution to the problem. As Morgrym covers the pavement with a thin, far-reaching layer of water, he realizes that no one has wandered inside unseen. But that's not all: the water begins to run out with a faint, frail noise. Upon closer investigation, the heroes discover that the water's escaping through the cracks between a set of loose bricks! A small bit of experimentation shows that they can move the loose pieces around to open a path! The passage is small, but it allows them to carefully drag themselves out into a back alley, fooling any watchers and ambushers!

[Ok, you can drag yourelves to the back of the house, one at a time, and flee the scene! Hagadark still has the mutagen flask in hand, if he wants to keep it, of course. if you want to run away, please, roll stealth at a +5, since you're using a non-expected way out. You can also use bluff to create distractions, if you want!]

Hagadark shrugs and moves into the alley first, his anticipatory potion working overtime to detect threats. He is suprisingly good at remaining silent, quiet and out of sight.

OOC: Heightened Awareness infusion active (+2 competence bonus on Perception checks and on all Knowledge checks that you are trained in.
If this spell is active when you have to make an initiative check, you can instantly dismiss this spell and gain a +4 bonus on that check)

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Marius sighs as the half-orc pushes his way up front instead of letting the expert go first. But he must admit he did well. He focuses on his own movements just a bit too late to avoid swishing sound of clothes touching the wood. Barely perceptible...but still, such imperfection is the price of losing focus.

OOC: Marius aids others as they come out granting additional +2 to the roll.

Stealth: 1D20+15 = [8]+15 = 23

The back alley seems to be abandoned for a good deal of time now. Old boxes and barrels were left here to rot, covering an old cart and some fabric, now overtaken by thick, sprawling spider webs. On the opposite side of the ruined house, the cave wall spreads up, showing small caves here and there, probably dug to shelter the poorest denizens of Nerrath, long ago. Now, the entire area is boarded up, probably taken by shy arachnids and less reputable beasts. The small street stretches away in both directions, betraying a small amount of distant lights through reflections on occasional puddles, covering the floor. Swift and silent movement might still ensure a safe flight...

[Ok, Morgrym and Shay to go!]

Morgrym followed the others out through the tunnel they had found. It was a tight squeeze and his wooden shield scraped loudly against the stone as he made it out into the alleyway. He swung his axe to clear the spider webs away. “Spiders,” he muttered darkly.

Shayuri

First Post
Shayuri may have spent most of her youth learning the ways of magic and intrigue, but she had a natural wiry grace to her...and was of course unencumbered by any kind of armor. She gathered up the hem of her dress and leaned down and tried to as best she could to keep anything from getting overly dirty, but was more focused on that than not making noise...

Hagadark and Marius are surely silent enough, but the same can't be said by Morgrym and Shay. The first two slide into the alley, closely followed by Morgrym and Shay. Arvana remains behind with the rest of the group - she leaves last, so she can watch over the escorts. But before they can follow the four out, Morgrym's shield rasps around and Shay's elbows resound as they bash lightly against an empty barrel.

The response is immediate: upon the roof, something slides towards the back of the house! The heroes look up, where an orc's violent grimmace stares down in surprise!

"THEY'RE HERE!" - the brute cries out. He's one of Hagadark's kin, easily recognized by the Shaman. Soon, three more heads pop out from the edge of the roof, looking down: another pair of orcs and a robed, masked alchemist - one of Dram's apprentices. Treachery! Hagadark's own brothers became too greedy during his absence, it seems! Bows pop up and a bomb's husk rolls around the alchemist's hand as his fingers flirt with a pouch on his belt.

"Don't make this any harder than it has to be..." - a low, rasp voice comes from the robed figure. "The master wants the dagger, that's all. Hand it over and we'll let you go. Refuse, and I'll have to frisk your corpses for it." - he bends the head. Around the corner, a few feet away, the heroes overhear the muffled sound of steps. Surely more men are ready to jump into the fight, should the heroes choose to engage!

[Ok, please, give me a perception roll, everyone! After that, what will you guys do?]
