Zelda is back, with a new book that has been trading places with the PHB for the #1 spot in fantasy gaming.

Also, a now steeply discounted tales from the Yawning Portal has had a big jump in the rankings. (Get it half off!)

PHB has actually dropped a bit to 71 in overall sales, but this does vary day by day. And with Volo's, WotC now has six products that consistently dominate RPG sales month after month.

Kind of puts to rest the idea that 5e will soon be replaced because we're approaching the time that other editions - with dramatically different publishing schedules and business plans - were getting replaced.

You would hope so!

Clearly the designers for 5e intended to change the model, or at least change it back. The first players handbook was in print for almost 12 years, after all.

PHB is back to number 1 and TftYP is starting strong.

In terms of overall sales, the PHB is at 72 and TftYP is at 101, which is corebook/CoS numbers.

Volo's Guide has slipped, to 442 in overall sales. For an RPG supplement that is still quite strong, time will tale if its the 4th core book.

No surprise since the new Zelda is being hailed as game of the year, best Zelda of all time perhaps vest game of all time.

Five or even ten years ago that'd be huge for a core rule book, and a dream for an accessory. An adventure...? That's huge.

Some of those old adventures have crazy levels of sales.

The adventures don't sell thing came from late 2E after the wotc buyout. 2E adventures did not sell that well, 1E and Basic ones did. Usually ones with Gygaxs name on them.

Paizo also did the adventure thing. The key is I think good adventures with a popular edition that aren't to complicated and not competing with mechanical bloat.
