In the book on page 121, The number of customizations a weapon or set of armor can support is based on its size and quality (see page 111)

The quality chart is pretty clear, what I am having trouble finding is the based on size part, I cant seem to find the page that say's how many upgrade's a normal rifle or 2h sword can hold

Yeah, that seems to be missing from NEW. NOW lists the Weapon upgrades as
BY SIZE
Small 2
Medium 3
Large 5

For Armor
BY TYPE
Light 2
Medium 3
Heavy 5

BY QUALITY FOR BOTH
High +1
Superior +1
Mastercraft +2
Artisan +2
Unique +3
