2000AD [2000AD] Calculating Speed

I think I did SPEED wrong. Right now I am at 48 SPEED and 24 CLIMB. Is that correct? That seems a bit high. Here is how I came up with that.

"Your SPEED is equal to the size of your STR dice pool plus your AGI dice pool. You may also add your running dice pool if you have that skill."

So my STR is 9 and my AGI is 5 which give me 14. According to the table that would give me a 5d6 dice pool. Now I add 1d6 for my RUNNING skill. Correct? So I rolled that and ended up with 48. Did I do that right?

Yikes. No, you don't roll it. Your SPEED is 6: 3(d6) + 2(d6) + 1(d6). it's the *size* of your dice pool, not a roll of your dice pool.

Your CLIMB is 3 (half your SPEED without the running added on, rounded up).

Ah okay. I knew I did something wrong. Thanks.

Even if you were supposed to roll it, how did you manage to roll 48 on 6d6?

I don't know why I did it, but for some reason a set of 2d6 was 1, so it was actually 12d6. Which for some reason I thought of THAT as 6d6. I really don't know what I was thinking. Now I got a headache. lol
