D&D 5E Simulacrum - How strict do you treat the "Can't Learn" clause?

Or a queen who needs a heir yet does not have the time to spend producing one in a more traditional manner. Who would the heir love more? Queen mom or Simulamom?
 



It might be sensible to roleplay with yes for short-term memory but no for long-term memory beyond a day or so, so a simulacrum might be able to interact well enough for the first day to fool others, but as time passes people will become increasingly suspicious.

Since a simulacrum is very expensive to make and maintain, and is inherently fragile, it's reasonable to assume that most high level wizards won't make one. Acquiring a large amount of ruby dust could also pose potential challenges.
