D&D 5E The Final Announcement from The Descent Live Stream: Eberron Hardcover

The final announcement at the end of The Descent stream is a hardcover book for the Eberron setting!
No details have been announced, but Nathan Stewart closed out the live stream event for The Descent by proclaiming the final book out this year would be a hardcover setting book for Eberron.

I feel like if they do Psionics (at that feels like a given at this point, but hey, WotC headquarters could explode before they get it out) they're gonna bundle Dark Sun with it, like they're doing with the Artificer and Eberron.

Yeah, putting the psion in Dark Sun makes perfect sense. My "mind mage" sorcerer suggestion was meant more as a stopgap. You could make one or two decent psions that way, which might be enough for an Eberron campaign, but there's not enough depth there for a psi-heavy setting like Dark Sun.

Mearls made a number of subclasses to portion off Psionic material, based on the design I think they would be published with the full Psion though:

Disappointed this wasn't the announcement we all expected for the thee-part hardcover Jakandor setting that anyone could see was being hyped since 5E launched.

Or maybe I'm having a hard time distinguishing between "I" and "we", "everyone" and "myself", and "my wild expectations" being confused with "what has actually been said."

I'm wondering if this was supposed to be the "Major AF*" announcement for June.

*Major AF: The Nathan Stewart Special

I'd wagwr the "Major AF" announcement is likely a media announcement, like Baldur's Gate 3, a cartoon show or the Paramount movie.

Maybe the product details for the Eberron hardcover, and maybe a similar PDF test (Dark Sun?).

My money is on a setting PDF, quite possibly the Planescape release that we've been theorizing. It doesn't require much work...except all of those factions!

The pessimist in my thinks it'll just be the Eberron hardcover announcement.

The wildly optimistic dreamer in me thinks they'll just release a base PDF for all of the old settings, including that much-anticipated Jakandor setting! Hey, it's a good dream to have!
