D&D 5E You find a magical _____, it does _____

Hero
Shoes of Corpulence
This pair of magical blue footwear appears to bring luck and fortune to the wearer. When attuned to the shoes, you gain the benefit of the Luck Feat. At the end of the day, unused 'Luck Points' are converted into a gem worth 2d10 x 10GP - one gem for each unspent luck point.

In reality, the shoes are cursed. With each passing day, the wearer gets more obese and more prone to substance abuse until one day they die from the life of excess, most likely while on the toilet and their pants are around their ankles.

Next Item: One white glove covered in glass rhinestones

This glove is one of a pair (surprise!) belonging to the Rhinemaiden Flosshilde. She lost it one day while she was out shopping in Neverwinter and would reward the finder generously if it is returned. This particular glove enables the wearer to sing contralto very loudly underwater.

Next item: a silver dish engraved with design showing a dragon walking across a bridge

There is nothing much special about this item, aside from it's rarity, which there were only 10 made in the world. It's estimated value is 250 gold pieces.

Next item: a stash of hidden treasure

The 'Stash of Hidden Treasure

This item is an apparently normal false mustache. In order to don the item, the wielder must shave off their natural mustache if they have one, leading to some speculation that the facial hair was originally worn by Vecna.

The mustache operates as a Robe of Useful Items; while wearing the mustache. you can use an action to pluck one of the grey hairs it contains, causing it to become the object or creature it represents. The wearer knows at all times the contents of the mustache and which hair to pluck. Once the last grey hair is plucked, the mustache becomes an ordinary patch of facial hair.

Except...

Once donned, the mustache cannot be shaved off by any item short of a Vorpal sword.

Next item: A sack of crystal doorknobs

(Note that the mustache is not limited to any particular gender.)

Are you preparing for another story here?
Only if someone says "The next Item is a magical book of never-ending stories that begin ..." But no-one is going to, are they?

Next item: A sack of crystal doorknobs

These doorknobs were stolen from Meershawm's Maze of Crystal Doors, leaving the inhabitants unable to escape because, obviously, they couldn't open any of the doors to get out and would-be rescuers were likewise unable to get in to help them. The inhabitants eventually starved to death and that's why the Maze is now populated with resentful undead. Curiously, each doorknob can open or close its own personal door remotely just by rotating it in the correct fashion from up to 20ft away and to that extent they are magical.

Next Item: A magical book of never-ending stories that begin ...

This book has a permanent Magic Mouth on the front cover. It can read itself to you.
The book also has a flip-switch along the binding which phases in a Silence spell. After a little while the voice fades away into nothingness.
A sliding scale along the binding allows an individual to set how many pages the book will read before the Silence spell kicks in.

The book is often used by rich nobles who wish they were adventurous to tell their children a story before bedtime.

There are several variants of the book, one of which claims to have been invented by a person (possibly a Bardic understudy) named Scherheradze. It takes 1001 Nights to tell its stories at the rate of one per night.
Another version of the book claims that its story is not yet finished ("never-ending"). If this is true, somebody will have to figure out how to insert more pages into it.

Next item: A large cookpot / cauldron and the tripod to place it over an open fire

Adding fish, vegetables and water to this cauldron and lighting a fire under it will create an aroma that will attract 1d4 brown bears per hour. If frogs and newts are substituted for the fish it will attract aged crones instead, who will recite the opening scene of Macbeth.

Next Item: a stuffed shark
