The Endless Quest books are back

I've not seen this mentioned, and a Google site search and ENW search showed blank, but it seems the Endless Quest series of books are back. Forgotten Realms books, obviously! They're out in September, with no mention if the rules are a sorta 5E lite or something similar.

How do you finish an "Endless Quest" and go on to another adventure? :p

Mostly by keeping a finger in the page you finished to see if your choice kills you. This way you can go back and make the right choice, according to the writer.

I don't remember how many times I chose to "Investigate the light in the tunnel", only to turn the page and read something like" The goblins in the room kill you".

So there's not an ability check to determine which path you take? Seems like that would be a fun way to navigate such a book? (I've never seen one in person so I'm just imagining...)

That does sound neat, if you have a character prepared.

I read through (that may belong in quotes) a Choose Your Own Adventure set on the Titanic. I managed to find a decision path that led the slowly-sinking liner to run ashore off Newfoundland.
I also found an option to hit the iceberg head-on. There was also a page (with a LOT of ways to get there) that said something like "...the freezing-cold water rises up past your shoulders..." :(

Am I the only one who tried to keep track of so many options that I would occasionally run out of fingers, or forget which finger was the most recent decision point?

Nice! I actually wrote a few CYOA books a few years ago when my son was younger to help get him motivated into reading, because those are what got me into reading when I was young. Yes, it worked :)
