D&D 5E Why Good PLayers Do Not Homebrew

Well, I'll have to disagree with you Zardnaar. In theory, there's no difference between "official" rules and "unofficial" ones. At practice, however, things are very different. Not all gaming communities are that open. I'll write about this soon enough.

Well, since you posted this, apparently I am in good company.

Assuming the damage dice are correct, the average damage numbers should be changed as noted.

About the CR: Offensive CR looks 4 or 4.5 -ish, so that's ok. Defensive CR looks like you might have failed to account for resistance to nonmagical B/P/S. That (if you believe the DMG) should double effective HP to 224. With AC17, that is CR 11-ish. (7d8+21) gives 52, doubled is 104. With AC 17, that is CR 5-ish. (Assuming CR 5 was what you wanted.)

I reskinned a CR 5 encounter. Less damage more resitances to various damages.

You're quite right: good players do not homebrew.

They buy their beer from the beer store just like everyone else.
